"Both people in the store were very helpful. Not knowing much about carpeting, I told them what I was looking for and asked for a recommendation. I was directed to a carpet that met my criteria. I didn't have to think about it, other than color selection. I was limited in what I could spend and was shown a carpet that seemed to be of better quality than what I had seen elsewhere. The price was very reasonable and included a good quality padding plus installation. They showed up as scheduled to take room measurements, the carpet arrived in the store about a week later and installation was scheduled 2 business days later. The Installers were professional, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. I received a follow up call from the store that same day to make sure I was happy. Everything went as planned . It was a pleasure doing business with them. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others."

"Very punctual, installers were great.  Can't see any seams!  The carpet is beautiful!  Criticisms: 1.  The salesperson never followed up with my quote and I had to call to find out the status; 2.  They measured incorrectly when they came to do the estimate so the installers didn't have enough carpet to do the job when they originally came.  They had to order more carpet and then come out a second time to finish the job.  3. They forgot to call me to tell me the additional carpet was in and to schedule the install. <br />"

"Having just returned from a trip to the Boca area of Florida, I feel compelled to share my experience with my visit to Floors To Go, at 5060 N Federal Highway, in Lighthouse Point. As an interior designer, I often stop in to explore possible vendors that I may discover during my travels. That said, it’s rare that I then take the time to stop to write a review. This was different. I was like a kid in a candy store from the moment I entered. Their impressive selection of tile, carpet, hardwood, laminate, marble, vinyl, even molding, etc., etc., was amazing. There were so many uniquely-beautiful choices that I haven’t seen anywhere else. There were fabulous options for every budget. The showroom itself was neat, clean, very organized, and quite spacious; making navigating a pleasure. The owner, Kenny, and his staff introduced themselves. Although they knew I was only browsing that day, they were happy to spend time with me, and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend them, and will most definitely be using them for future jobs."

"They did a great job. Jose communicated well with me. He discussed all of the cost up front so I completely understood the cost of materials and labor. He was on target with his scheduling. They did a great job of installing the wood laminate throughout the house. I would highly recommend Floors Direct for any flooring needs."

"Jack's work is excellent! He cleaned my old carpets exceedingly well, and they look the best they have looked in ten years! In addition, he was meticulous and expert in patching a portion of carpet that my puppy had destroyed. Jack takes great pride in his work and it shows. I give him the highest recommendation."

"Had to get several bids for carpeting a large meeting room and some offices.  Michael from Allfloors was very professional.  His prices were very competitive.  He came back several times to make sure he gave us sufficient options to make a decision.  The group in charge of choosing a bid decided to go with another company but I would definitely give Michael from Allfloors a call when we have another project that requires carpet. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Miami, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
