"Highland Exteriors Group did a great job of replacing some of my siding. They showed up on-time and did a quick and wonderful job. The carpenters were capable, skilled, and respectful of the property. They had to get paint to match and that went so well, I can't see the difference from the remaining siding to the new pieces. Definitely give Highland Exteriors Group a call if you need work done! "

"The recess around the window looks as though it was carved out with an electric toothbrush. The stucco is crumbling everywhere the work was done. It looks so horrible. The worker came with only a 4ft ladder and needed to chop my hedges in the middle to make a path because the ladder was not tall enough! Are you kidding me?? I only had the work done less than 1 week ago. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER SELECT THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK. They are unprepared, unprofessional and unskilled"

Small jobs welcome

"Our HOA searched for over 6 months to find a company to repair our entrance wall. Finally we found Danzig ! We were given a fair quote and they explained the process for the repairs, gave us a good time frame and answered all our questions. They even made a couple of smaller repairs without being asked or charging for them. Their knowledge and expertise was evident in their work. We were very pleased and impressed with the finished product. I highly recommend Danzig Professional Finishes, Inc !"

"He quickly call me after me asking for service, he came in the morning next day and told me he can start ASAP, I said Yes. He came the next day and start working with another person. I asked a few times for the contract or at least a receipt, and he said he was coming the next day to verify everything was good and complete anything that was not done, until this time more than 1 weeks he hasn?t come back , called me back, or emailed my receipt and paperwork. He got the money and disappeared, then I find out he overcharged me for the work, he take advantage of new young homeowner 1st time looking for help. It?s sad because now we don?t trust anyone, We learn our lesson. "

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Mount Dora, FL

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
