"We had a damp crawlspace. John's installed drainage with sump pumps (lead and backup with battery backup power) and encapsulated the dirt with 20 mil plastic. They also installed PU foam around the perimeter foundation walls to complete the insulation envelope of the house and a dehumidifier top keep the crawlspace area dry. In short, this work solved the problem we had and provided the added benefits of a more energy efficient and comfortable house due to the insulation as well as better indoor air quality. The work was done in four days and at considerably less cost than a competing contractor bid to do it. Another person that we had inspecting house later looked at the crawlspace and commented, "Wow! "For specific projects there was no choice for emergency or burst pipes and that's what we had. We had a pipe burst in our garage, and it was flooding the garage. We had to call the non emergency dispatch to see if we could get help turning off the main water valve; it was frozen. The dispatch told us that there were approximately 10,000 people without water due to bursting pipes. We had contacted them because we couldn't get the main shut-off valve off due to it being frozen, and someone from the city water came to our rescue as well. Considering our garage was flooding. We had called 6 plumbers and got all the same answer; it would be Monday or Tuesday before they could get to us. Totally understood their responses. Fortunately for us, Ryan, from Ryan Parker Plumbing LLC, contacted us later that evening, and he was able to fit us in after all. He came out in that freezing rain and showed my husband that we could have water in the house and just turn off the area that was damaged. Then, he proceeded to fix the pipe (it was in our garage in the wall). Didn't take him long, thank goodness! He came back the next day to make sure it was all fixed and working properly. Technician snaked a neighboring pipe to see if there was a back door into the suspected catch basin, but no luck. Next step: find someone to dig up the old basin then install a sump pump w. basin."
