"Within a week, Jared called us and said he had time to do the work.  He had said it would be a one day job.  He called me in the middle of the day and said that he would have to do some modifying to the original plan due to unforeseen problems inherent with a 70 year old house.  He explained our options, and was able to describe it over the phone well enough that I could picture what he meant.  I agreed with his assessment of what would work best.  I felt secure that Jared would make it work.  We have had him do two other projects that ended up great.  Even with the slight detour in the plan and having to go to the lumber yard for more lumber, he was still done that evening.  We are very happy with the way it turned out aesthetically, plus the porch is now so much safer.  (The previous post was not even attached to the porch.  Jared said he removed it with a kick.)  After Jared is done with a job, we never even know he was there.  He cleans up the project with the same detail he gives to the work.  <br />"

"Lynne came out and took measurements. I gave her a list of our homeowner's association requirements for fencing and explained the modifications that I needed. She made some helpful suggestions for fencing close to a small tree that we did not want to move. I received a full bid from her via e-mail 2 days later. I gave her a call an she had me on her schedule for the following week. The workers who came out to put in the posts were prompt and professional. They explained to me exactly what they were doing and what the timeline would be. They did a great job with the posts and cleaned up after themselves. The posts cured in the ground for 2 days and the workers were back to install the fencing, again they were prompt and professional. They kept me informed of their progress as the day went on. They were short a couple of hinges for the gate and returned the first thing in the morning to complete the gate. The finished product is great, better than I anticipated. I am completely satisfied with the entire experience and wouldn't hesitate to use central Construction Fence and Deck again and I highly recommend this company. <br />"

"It went great. We are very happy with the result. They were very prompt to reply to concerns and were always professional and on-time. The actual start date did slip a week from the expected start date due to other customer projects they had to complete and a delay by Dunn Lumber in delivering the materials, but they were very prompt about communicating that to us. They even worked on July 4 to make sure the project was completed before we left on vacation. <br /> From the beginning, they were very honest to deal with and were quick to say that our deck framing was fine and did not need to be replaced, which saved a lot of money. Their price was slightly higher than the other bids we received, but we had more confidence in their ability and appreciated their timely response to questions. <br /> We requested composite materials, in part so we would never need to paint. They recommended using a slightly more expensive composite material instead of the low-end product, which proved to be an excellent choice since it is guaranteed not to fade or stain for 25 years! (We went with TimberTech Earthwood Evolutions instead of TimberTech ReliaBoard.) <br /> They removed the existing decking and rails on Friday but did not start re-building the porch until Monday. Without our even asking (or thinking about it), they nailed the old decking by the front door to ensure the kids and dogs would not accidentally open the door and fall out. <br /> We would not hesitate to hire them again or refer them to others. <br />"

"I was a little nervous about the transaction at first despite the reviews. The estimate was well below all others and the only reason I contracted with Seattlepropainting was the good reviews on Angies List. I also contracted with them early in the summer and due to my own schedule restraints had the work done in August. I did not keep in contact and neither did Seattlepropainting and two days before they were supposed to prep the house, I realized that we hadn't talked in about 2 months. Since I was buying my own paint, I paid nothing down and didn't sign a contract. As a result, I was nervous that I might not be on the schedule. However, when I called Seattlepropainting there were no issues and they arrived as scheduled to prep the house. <br /> I was happy with the prepping they did and how they cleaned up afterwards. Also, the workers were very polite and picked up at the end of each day. They worked meticulously under my carport, painting all wood. The other painting companies told me that they would not paint wood that was under the carport but not exposed to the elements as it would take too much time. <br /> Overall, they did a nice job. The owner even provided a small amount of his own black paint for my metal railing on the steps to my house. This was not necessary by the agreement, but was really nice for me as the railing was metal and I would have needed to purchase 1 gallon of the paint and it likely took much less than a quart. <br /> When Seattlepropainting provided me the estimate, they mentioned that since my house was cedar shake that it would be difficult to get all the paint even in all the places of the house. Especially in places where existing paint was adhering well to the surface, but adjacent to a location where some paint had peeled off. Since I was aware of this issue and also had my own issues when I painted the house on my own the first time. I was willing to accept this. From the road it is impossible to see these slight imperfections. If you are standing within a couple of feet from the wall, it is noticable. I don't know if some of the more expensive companies could have eliminated this, but it certainly wasn't worth the extra money to me. <br /> Overall, Seattlepropainting did everything I expected of them and more. The price was far and away the lowest. They were on time and professional. If I am still in my house when it needs a new coat of paint 10 or so years from now, I will look them up again. <br />"
