They also went into the attic to see if they could find the leak as the chimney was absolutely intact. Couldn’t see where the leak was coming. Even took some pics where the roof meets the chimney and again let us know how intact all with the chimney is. Landed up giving us a referral to an excellent roofer. We were totally pleased with all (upset, about the leak though!!) Dennis went above and beyond for us. He was so honest and this is so hard to find these days. "It was a difficult job due to the configuration of my home vent system. Village sweep took the time to get it right and it made an enormous difference for my dryer. I mentioned about cleaning out my chimney, but he recommended to wait until after this winter season in that it looked fine for now. He could have easily done it and charged me anyway and I woulld not known any difference. I have used them in the past and highly recommend them."

I saw they have been in business longer than anyone I found and had an excellent reputation. Even my coworkers and friends had great things to say about them. After checking out my roof, Jerry gave me a very fair quote that included more sheets of plywood than any of my other quotes. That really helped in my situation. "Excellent.  I contacted American Chimney & Fireplace from Angie's list.  I started hearing a dripping at the top of the fireplace when it rained.  James Rydill came out, discussed the repair required, the cost, the installation, and timeframe.  I had contacted two other companies on Angie's list as well.  One was much more expensive for a lot less work (about the same price for just the chimney chase cover), and the other one responded 2 weeks later, which was too late.
