"I live in Apollo Beach and had a sprinkler pump that had stopped working. I called the people that installed the pump. It was about 5 years old. They told me that I needed a new pump and that the pump I had was not the correct one (even though their company installed it).That a new 40' line from the well to the pump was needed. They quoted me $3500. I knew better. I called Bay Area Pump and Well Service right here in Apollo Beach. Wesley Carter and his son came out right on time. They diagnosed the problem as a bad check valve at the well connection and replaced it. They also cleaned out my jet pump and redid the input plumbing into the pump. Installed a ball valve. He explained to me why and how the pump malfunctioned and what he did. They were respectful, courteous and professional. Their charge for parts and service was $200 that included a service charge. They saved me a lot of money. They will be recommended to my family and friends if they need this service.They are honest and reliable."

"First, I need to apologize to Mr. Pruitt.  I thought I had left a glowing review the last time he came out but evidently it didn't publish because I can;t find it here anywhere.  We bought our current house in March of 2014.  It is on a well and we could see by the orange stains in the toilets and tubs that we had a problem.  We had a new water softening system put in by another company.  In December of that year the pump stopped working and we called Mr. Pruitt.  Despite being a new customer he came out the same day and diagnosed the problem.  We had "the worst water he has seen in 40 years".  He replaced the pump and the tanks and cleaned my well.  He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Thirteen months later (just outside the one year warranty) the pump died.  <br> <br>Mr Pruitt came out and delivered the distressing news that the pump failed because the water was just so bad.  He installed a higher HP commercial grade pump at cost.  He didn't have to do that.  It wasn't his fault the well is so bad.  But he is a really nice guy who wants to do right by his customers.  I was very grateful to him for working with me on the cost.  He and his guy worked their behinds off all day on a Saturday and he didn't charge me any labor costs.  And if that weren't enough, he cajoled the manufacturer of the pump itself to give me a better warranty on the pump. He really went above and beyond. <br> <br>He has been back twice since (once to diagnosed and repair a faulty pressure switch and once to repair a cracked pipe) and has refused to charge me anything.  He drives almost 1.5 hours from his place in St. Pete up to my home in New Port Richey and won't even accept gas money for his trouble.  <br> <br>If you need a reputable and professional well and pump service you should definitely work with Earl Pruitt.  He's a rock solid man who runs a rock solid company and they don't make them like that much anymore.  Thank you Mr. Pruitt! <br>"
