"I called one day about our problem and Mike sent a technician out the next day. The man who came to our house was wonderful. He was on time, polite, listened to us when we told him what we were seeing, and went with my husband to see what we were concerned about. He did what we thought was a thorough evaluation and actually traced the ants that were coming in the weep hole to a tree near our house that was infested with them! Who knew? He treated both bath and bedroom and we have been ant-free since. I am SO thankful! When it was time to pay the technician actually told us there was a coupon available to new customers. I never expected that to be part of the service. We feel Metro Pest took excellent care of us. Thank you, Metro."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Kurt is an amazing human being. Very insightful on my pest situation and was able to immediately come out and resolve my problem. Not only did he help resolve it, he gave advice on how to prevent it in the future. He was willing to go the extra mile to ensure I had a good experience and get great results for my money. Kurt obviously cares about his clients and does a thorough job ensuring great results. I will be reaching out to him personally for any other pest related problems I may experience in the future (which, one would hope wouldn't happen, but you never know!) Thanks Kurt!"

"I?ve been using Prize Pest Control for ongoing pest control, and they?ve been great so far. The techs are friendly, always on time, and they let me know what they?re doing each visit. Since we started, I?ve noticed way fewer bugs around, and they?re good about checking in between visits if anything pops up. It?s nice having that peace of mind knowing the problem?s being handled. Definitely recommend them if you?re looking for regular pest control that actually works."

"Pickle Pest Control came out to my property and performed their Initial Treatment plan, since it had been quite some time since I had last had my property serviced by a pest control company. Not only did they immediately get to work, but they informed me of what all they were doing, and why, as they completed their work on my property. Great execution by Pickle Pest Control! Highly RECOMMENDED!!!"

"My two little chihuahuas was going crazy over a corner behind shelf in our computer room. First i thought was a rat but with flashlight saw a small opossum. Not all pest control take that type of job. I called Wildlife Control and they transferred to M&M pest control in Plano. Mike was very patient while I told him my situation. He gave me a very reasonible quote and Mike and Irving came out the next day. Not only did I have a momma opossum she had 5 little babies attached. I wanted to make sure of their fate and was told they would go to live at a reserve that Wildlife Control has. I would recommend this company to any one for any service."

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Plano, TX

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
