Small jobs welcome

"Grant was hired to rebuild a boat dock on a lake. He surveyed the job, planned the job and started exactly when he promised. He discovered a lot of rotten wood when he took up the old dock and adjusted his plans accordingly. He got into the water wearing waders to complete the work. The dock and cleanup were completed a day early. I glad to recommend his company for your next project!"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"After the first tornado struck our home before daylight, we had roof damage and water was pouring into the structure from continuing rains. I reached Rufus Westmoreland about 6 am and told him our situation. He arrived at our house within a short time, and although we were under another tornado warning, he and an associate got on our roof in the pouring rain and installed a tarp. His bill for this service was very reasonable. We asked him for a quote to install the new roof and eventually used him for the entire job. He also quoted on interior repairs, such as drywall, paint, and floors. <br /> He was not the lowest bidder, but he was punctual, reliable, and a man of his word. We were very pleased with his work. <br />"

"I was quite impressed. They were the most professional company I have had the pleasure of doing business. The quality of work was far above any work I have had done in the past. This is the business I have chosen to complete all of my additional remodeling. I don't believe anyone would be disappointed in choosing Rana Construction when having any remodeling done to their homes."

"Wonderful. They helped us find the right colors for the project. The painters were incredible thorough, and so appreciative of our business. The project started soon after we decided to use Hart Construction and only took about 3 days to complete. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. We do plan to use Hart Construction again on some projects we plan to do in the future."

"Douglass construction repaired issues on the roof that had been there since the house was built and had over the years been the cause of other issues that made it necessary to replace parts of the roof and decking before reshingling could be completed. The job was done in a professional manner and work was done in a very timely manner. There were 2 delays that were out of the control of the construction company. I had picked a shingle that wasn't carried in stock so there was a wait for special order and then the last skid when opened were defective so had to be returned and took 3 days to have them reshipped to finish the job. I have used this company for several remodeling jobs from ceramic tile to major reconstruction inside my home and each job has been completed quickly, professionally and reasonably priced. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Pontotoc, MS

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
