"This past weekend, my third floor toilet/sinks were backing up due to a lost plumbing snake. I called SmartChoice and spoke with Carlos this past Sunday. He came out Sunday night and looked at the situation. He returned Monday with Travis and tried to get the snake out but couldn't (He removed the toiled, put in a camera and tried taking it out that way). He finally returned this morning (with Travis) and finished the job. He cut into the wall into our garage and pulled it out. I really appreciated the fact that Carlos tried multiple ways to get the snake out before cutting into the wall. He did not immediately pick the most expensive option.
During all 3 visits, Carlos (and Travis) were very professional. They were on time, very detailed with their explanation on what needed to be come. Since I realized the clog was somewhere in the pipes behind the wall, I knew I needed professional help. I saw JR Plumbing had an A rating on Angies so I thought I'd give them a try. The owner answered the phone immediately and was able to answer questions and was able to fit me into his schedule within less than 24 hrs. When he arrived he put covers on his shoes and (with no prompting from me) was respectful of my wood floors and carried his necessary equipment instead of rolling it through my house. "We had several issues that needed to be taken care of as a result of hard to find leak. I made many calls to various companies and handymen to try to get help without getting any satisfaction. I picked JY Handyman Services from Angie’s List and upon meeting Jose he assured me that he could address and fix our concerns. Jose worked on our home in late December and early January when we were having the really cold weather. He did some great trouble shooting, found and fixed the leak, did excellent carpentry, dry wall and painting. "This is my second interaction with a company for bathroom remodeling. I had my master bath done about two years ago by another company which took way too long (3 months) to complete. By their standards it was a small job. My job was not even completed when they started another job two doors down. I immediately decided I would not use them again. After an accident in my second bathroom, it was necessary for me to have the shower done. I knew it was even a much smaller job than my master bathroom and several companies would not even consider the job. I read some of the reviews on Floor It Today & Remodeling Too and it appeared that they did quality work. I went in to their store and was introduced to Bassam Mirza and he immediately gave me a quote based on my measurements. I agreed to the job and it was started about two weeks later. The ‘tear out’ team did a neat job of tearing out the old shower (there was still dust created) but they did the best they could to contain the dust to the bathroom. The plumber came in and installed the new shower valve and then the tile installer came in. WOW! He was neat with his work and did a fantastic job of tiling the shower. I was shocked when I went into the bathroom after he was through to see how clean it was. The scheduling of the trades was the best that I have seen but I realize that this is not always the case. Communications with Bassam were very good. I am very pleased with the results and only wish I had found them when I decided to do my master bath."
