"
After reading a review of ABL Chimney Sweep on Angie's List, we called the owner, Lee Squire, for an appt to clean and check the fireplace and chimney in a home we bought last year. Our appt was scheduled for one week later, but Lee then had some time open up the day we called, and asked if we would like the service call that same day. Lee explained that the service call and cleaning would be $90. ABL is a father and son team, and they showed up promptly, went to work right away, and were very careful to protect the area around our fireplace and outside by the chimney. It was obvious they had been working together for some time, and they were pleasant, organized, and efficient. While the chimney and fireplace were in fairly good shape, there were cracks in the chimney cap and chimney shoulder. Lee quoted $125 to repair the cracks, in addition to the $90 cleaning and service call, which I thought was very fair, and the repair was done immediately. Overall, the experience was very good, and I would recommend ABL Chimney Sweep again without hesitation.

"

"Tom came out to do the estimate on time and made an appointment for the following week. He called, as promised the day before the work was to be done and finalized the day of work. The next day he showed up on time again to cut the bottom 16" off my shelves and doors and put the original handles in new locations. When he left, the discarded wood was picked up and the work area was cleaned up as well. I'm very happy with the work and price, and now have a good, dependable handyman/construction company to call on the next time I need anything like this done.
"

"When we first contracted with Burke Roofing, we had intended to only replace the roof tiles. After looking over product materials, it was decided that we would also install two skylights. The skylights are solar powered, so they open, have screens, and power shades; none of which require electrical connections. The day of the skylight install, we decided to also install two sun tunnels. Upon seeing how much light the sun tunnels provide in the bathrooms, we requested a third sun tunnel, which was installed that afternoon. Instead of simply forming a box from the roof, to the ceiling, as some installers will do, Burke's installer formed out the box so the inside slants with the trusses, providing a tremendous amount of light. The skylights are wonderful, they are high quality, fully solar, and qualify for a 30% federal tax credit!
We are extremely pleased with the customer service, attention to detail (they draped plastic around the inside of their working area to limit dust during the skylight and sun tunnel install), and very friendly and responsive employees. Mr. Burke even made a visit during the install to make sure we were happy!
"

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair. The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time.
Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot.
I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction.
WRS

"

"I contacted JR for a quote on a 1000 sq. ft. paver patio. JR came out to my house and we went over my request. Within a day I had a email quote detailing the price for material, labor, etc. JR's prices beat everyone else so I chose him to install the patio.
Installation started about a week after I signed the contract. JR and his team showed up on-site when they said they were going to be there. They were professional, never asked to use my restroom or for water (even though I offered).
The entire job took about 3 days to finish. The craftsmanship is excellent and looks great.
"

"Lance did a wonderful job on interior prepping and painting for my kitchen and large livingroom. He suggested color options that complimented the open floor plan and completed the work professionally and promptly. While he was there, I asked if he could look at finishing my attic and framing a bathroom in the daylight basement. He took the time to review each area and discuss my expectations. He subsequently completed those additional jobs and I was amazed at how thorough and detail oriented he was, even with the bathroom rough framing I requested. I received compliments on the painting and some envy from friends who saw the great and much more useable attic I now had."
