"They were professional and helpful. Base price was good. Add on’s we requested drove up cost. One thing that could have gone better was a stain in the carpet that soaked down into the pad. The stain kept coming back and spread. Instead of steam cleaning, I solved it myself we an off the shelf Oxyclean solution."

"They did a great job. They were punctual and came when they said they would. They had to purchase additional materials and didn't even charged me extra. They were careful about cleaning up every day after they were done. I would recommend them to anyone."

"What a wonderful experience. Returned my phone call promptly and scheduled to come out 2 days later. He called the night before to confirm and showed up onetime. Spent 3 hours to stretch the carpet using a power stretcher and doing it right. Now it is tight as a drum and looks awesome. This was done at my mother's house and she was so impressed with Rob's workmanship and friendly service. She wants to use him to replace her carpet in her bedroom. I will definitely use him for any flooring needs at my house also. <br />"

"This is actually my second time working with The Rug Shoppe. I purchased some ceramic tile from them a year earlier for a job a did myself. The reason I bring that up now, is because when I came back a year later, Liz the sales associate that I worked with a year earlier, immediately remembered me, my name, my wife's name, and even that I had two cats. She is really the reason that we went with the Rug Shoppe for our carpet purchase as she is a delight to work with. As we were looking for carpet, Liz was great in helping us find stain resistant carpets that are good for households with pets. I did get quotes from other locations, and The Rug Shoppe did not come in as the lowest, however when I told this to Liz, she worked hard to get me a price that matched the lowest bid I received elsewhere. They showed up to do the work on time. They moved my furniture, removed the old carpet, installed the new carpet, and put the furniture back in place all in one day. All in all, I'm very pleased with the job."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"Last September, a hail storm caused over $30,000 worth of damage to my home. CRS was at my house that same night tarping my roof and drying things out. I had to have a new roof installed, all of my gutters replaced, ten windows replaced, and a lot of painting inside and outside of my house. Chris Flantos from CRS was meticulous and made sure his workers completed all parts of the job to the highest standard and was in constant communication throughout the entire process. My house looks better now than it did before the storm. I highly recommend CRS because they get the job done right!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Roxboro, NC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
