"In the end, I'm very pleased with my bathroom. It looks great and I feel that I received good value for my money. Which is why I'd recommend and hire again. However -- I have seen houses go up faster than my little bathroom updates were completed. First the estimate -- Bob came out right away and promised me an estimate that night or the next morning, but it was several days later that I received a not-very-professional estimate (I'm used to line items in an estimate so I know what the costs are... and I should have insisted on a time frame for completion). Next the glass (3 weeks became more like 6 due to issues with the first vendor and other unknown reasons. My guess is that the owner is not as organized as he could be and things fall through the cracks and were forgotten for a few days or more). That being said -- he was EXTREMELY responsive... no text or call went more than five minutes without being returned. He also was certain to make sure I was happy, replacing a few tiles I thought might be cracked and in general wanting to have a satisfied customer which I am. Steve -- who did the work -- was very friendly, punctual, and professional. Finally, I think his price was very fair and my bathroom went from looking like an afterthought to a showpiece. If time is not an issue, I'd hire Avalon again. If it is, I still might hire them -- but I'd get them to commit to a timeline and stick to it."

"First of all, I can can do plumbing myself, but it usually involves more than a day or two and multiple trips to one of the big box stores. Since the tub hardware was old and corroded, I didn't want to take a chance of making things worse, so I decided to call in a professional; that the toilet started leaking was a (happy) coincidence for me, so he or she could do that at the same time. I contacted TruPlumbing and Tom was dispatched for the job... he contacted me to set up a time and date for the service call and also gave me a quote and the option to buy my own parts for the job, telling me what was needed, Tom arrived on time and had both jobs completed in a few hours; he was very professional, covered his shoes so as not to track dirt into the house, and explained what all he had done. I would definitely recommend TruPlumbing and will use them in the future."

He vented 2 bathroom fans to the outside, instead of the attic; replaced a GFCI outlet in bathroom; replaced 2 wired smoke detectors; adjusted 5 doors that didn't close properly; drywalled 2 holes in basement ceiling/wall; added styrene panels to 3 light fixtures in the basement; replaced kitchen lazy susan hinges; completely rebuilt and stained porch railing."

"Had a problem with one GFI plug in lower level, when it tripped it took out the power in all four bathrooms as well as garage. We called Ray late Friday afternoon. Saturday morning he returned call. He took the time to explain what he could do and quoted his cost. 30 minutes later he was at our door. 2 hours later he was finished and we no longer have a problem. In this day and age it is very refreshing to have a tradesman respond to a call as quickly as Ray did and have the work completed in a professional manor. When Ray was finished he double checked all he had done and explained in terms that I could understand. That was certainly appreciated. The year warranty was cream on top. I would recommend his services to anybody and have already recommended him to my brother in law for a ceiling fan install.

"We could not have been more pleased with the work the Madden Brothers did to create our new master bath and closet. From beginning to end, the project was a great experience. We were actually sorry to see them go when the job was finished! When has that ever happened with a contractor? George and Brian gave us exactly what we wanted and did so in a professional, yet extremely pleasant manner. We were very appreciative of their knowledge, experience, and attention to detail. They are both perfectionists when it comes to the way things should be done. If that wasn't all, they left the workspace and house clean and vacuumed every single day and I can't tell you how great, and unusual, that was. Even the subs commented on how neat they were! "This was the second time we hired Willis. He did such a nice job on our kitchen three years ago, so we did not hesitate to hire him again. The job is done and we are very pleased with the results. We started with just a shower. We wanted to make it bigger and use the extra space we had. But we ended up remodeling the entire bathroom: bathtub, new sinks, painting. Willis was very patient with us and as always offered very nice ideas. It felt like he knew better than we did what we wanted our bathroom to look like.
