"I believe a rating at this time would be unfair. I've only had one treatment and the gentleman that was sent out was in a bad mood. Considering that it was the end of the day, I will not rate the company. Trying to be fair and there is little improvement on the lawn. Therefore, I will wait to see how the lawn care comes along. Respectfully,"

"Our basement flooded in January 2021. Drainage Master was one of 3 estimates we obtained. Seth inspected the situation and suggested and exterior drainage system The our two estimates we for interior systems with a sump pump. The other two companies would not provide an estimate for and exterior system. Also the estimate did not include the cost to repair damage the installation of an interior system would do to a finished basement. The crew was great the foreman answered all of our questions the job was done on time and in budget. I would highly recommend them."

"I felt like the scheduling and their service provider used the original estimates and did some work, so that was great. There's a good level of accountability there between the estimator and the service. We've worked with them before so I guess we have a level of trust with them. It was thorough, it was clean and they cleaned up after themselves. They even took off their shoes to come into the house. We had an appointment and they showed up and got the job done in the time they alloted."

"Great! I was taking a shower and the water stopped. It was during all that very cold weather. My husband had just left for the weekend and I was very worried it was going to be something much worse than it was. My husband kindly turned around and came home and removed the housing around the pump (which had rotted away right about where the problem was) and defrosted the frozen pipes that we could see with his propane heater. Knowing that many people were probably experiencing similar problems, we assumed nobody would be able to come out to our house that day, nor would it be reasonably priced. Well HPS said they could be there by 8 or 9pm. They arrived around 6pm. It was dark. They worked quickly, were polite, and put things back together as best as possible & told me to go get electrical tape the next day. Best of all, it didn't cost a fortune!"

"I emailed the guy and he got back to me very quickly. Because the water line is on the other side of the driveway they would have to go under the driveway and that jacked the cost up significantly. The guy got back to me very quickly, he googled the address and said "here's your issue, it's going to be very expensive and this is about what it will cost you" I didn't proceed with it but from the stand point of when he got back to me, he got back to me very quickly. When I gave him the address, he got back to me very quickly after that and gave me a kind of diagnosis if you will that I confirmed with a neighbor that had the same issue and he said yeah, the guy is spot on. It is in fact an issue, they have got to do that. I didn't proceed with the job due to the expense, but I wasn't disappointed with the service. The guy could have smoked me, he didn't screw around he just said here's what the issue is. I was impressed that he took my address, diagnose it and get back to me. The guy was all over it. I was pleased with it. I sent an email early in the morning 4:30 or 5 o'clock and I had something back by 8 am. I didn't do it because of the cost it wasn't an issue with the service or the responsiveness."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Scappoose, OR

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
