"Edit: I am changing my rating. They have followed up with me, and fulfilled the request I had originally made. It took some time, but they kept their promise. I appreciate that very much. Therefore, I am scoring them 4.5 stars. Original Review: Before I outline my review, I am starting with the score. I would like to score them higher than I am doing now. But I am scoring them 3.5 stars, instead of 4.5 stars, mainly because they have not yet follow through with one request I made, a request they told me they would do. The good: I hired them to take care of a rodent issue. They came on time; they assessed my property, and outlined the work they will perform, and gave me the cost. They promptly emailed me a service agreement notice, which contained the information they had relayed to me verbally. Once I agreed to use their service, we scheduled a time for them to return to do the work. Again, they were on time and performed the duties. Once they had completed the work, I had again received an email communication from them confirming the work they had done. The bad: However, because I am a bit far away from the property, I requested them to send me photos of the work they had done. The rep. Promised that they would. However, I did not receive any pictures. I contacted the rep. and he apologized, saying that there was an error on the upload and it did not tag them onto the account. But they would fulfill my request when they return to check the traps on the follow up. The follow up happened and still no pictures. Again, I emailed the rep., but this time around I did not hear back from him at all. I do believe they had performed the pest control duties, but it would have been nice for me verify by looking at the pictures. I will be more than happy to modify my review, once they complete the request they had promise to do. Furthermore, they should consider potentially adding photos to their overall service. Their competitor, who I will not name here, had sent me pictures as soon as they had completed their assessment. Lastly, back to the good: I think the cost of their rodent control service is comparable with their competitor. Moreover, Independent had a bit more options when it came to the annual maintenance service."

"I was going insane when a mole took up residence in my yard. My exterminator gave me contact info for Mole Masters. I researched them and sent an email. They offered to come over the very next day. It took several weeks - apparently I had a very smart one who managed to elude the traps. Finally in week 3 - SUCCESS! One little critter caused so much damage and I was so grateful to be rid of this thing. HIGHLY recommend these guys. They were quick to respond, quick to set up the traps and got the job done!"

"Great experience overall. I was a little hesitant about spending money on the inspection, but it was extremely thorough, and the inspector, Jake, very helpful. Haven?t seen rodents since they sealed up my crawlspace. 10/10"

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Seattle, WA

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
