"Our a/c broke and I put a request for quotes on Angies List. Tara from Ace called me within 5 minutes. She sent out Daniel and he was so thorough. Another company came and said it was a leak. Daniel didn’t find any leaks and he thoroughly looked. He had the air up and running in 3 hours. I highly recommend this company."

"Everything went well. Spoke with Gabriel on May 6th. He had Mike come out on May 7th after and emergency plumbing job. Mike gave me the estimate and told me what could be done but he would have to come back either later that day or the next day because he didn't have what he needed at the time. Mike called me back the same day and said that he couldn't make it back and would it be ok for him to come the next morning. I said sure, just call me after 10 am. Gabriel kept me updated with when and who was coming to the house because Lucas came the next day. He finished the job within 2 hours. The guys were very professional and courteous. I would hire them again if needed. Awesome job!!"

"We had the old tube and shower taken out and the subflooring replaced.  Stuart and his team put down all new tile floor.  Instead of having a tub put back in we had him expand the size of the shower and put in a new wall.  They built a new walled in shower, fully tiled with beautiful decorative tile and shelving built-in.  <br> <br>While onsite he also replaced a faucet and fixed another small leak in another secondary bathroom. <br> <br>The best part is his quote was exactly what we were charged.  He also provided us an estimate for fixtures, tile, etc.. as well.  He met my wife at Lowe's where he helped her select all of the items.  The total four our items was $988 for supplies and was just barely over his estimated budget of $960.  I was amazed how accurate that budget was for us considering that was direct for supplies and we are the ones that selected all tile and fixtures based on what we wanted. <br> <br>It was a fantastic experience and I will use Stuart again. <br>"

"I live in a mobile home so my hot  water heater is in a bedroom closet.  The tub faucet that needed to be replaced was on the other side of the wall from the water heater.  Dennis came to my home when he said he would.  He changed the tub faucet and water heater in a timely fashion.  He cleaned up before he left.  Everything was done in a professional manner.  I've had Dennis before to do my  plumbing and will continue to do so."

"Terry was very professional and courteous. I feel he was conservative with repairs and did not over sale the problems. (Example, my upstairs commode was leaking enough to seep through the floor and into my downstairs foyer. He looked at it and said. "The nut needs to be tightened". He tightened it and that fixed it.). I'm a single mom and I would recommend Terry to anyone who has very little knowledge about plumbing and scared that a random plumber will come in and over charge them."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Taylorsville, NC

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
