Small jobs welcome

"We needed a concrete pad and rat wall installed for an 8x10 shed in our backyard. Dario and his team did a great job! Dario was very responsive from the beginning to the end of the project. He also handled the permits & inspections, which were included in our original quote. He kept us informed throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend! "

"Sadid and crew did excellent job making a sidewalk. They recommended fiber concrete, stronger with less cracking. Price was good value and project finished quickly and workmanship was excellent. I can strongly recommend this company."

"S & A originally poured my driveway in 2017. Within one year the driveway was falling apart. When asked about repairing this, they said I would have to pay for it. It took five years, in 2022, for them to repair the original driveway. The next year the driveway was falling apart again, but worse. When I called S & A for them to come out and look at it, they said they couldn?t help me. I look at other driveways that were poured in my neighborhood during the same time period ,and they look great. They use poor products and their workmanship is poor. They do not stand behind their work. I regret choosing them."

"The experience started off great. They made me feel like they cared about our project. The first year I noticed some small cracks here there I figure the concrete was settling. They said they come look at it after the first winter they never showed up. After the second year it started crumbling or concrete started turning to sand. I reached out to make contact with them they replied one time to me but never followed up I kept continuing to call finally I made a post on our local Facebook page and the gentleman reached out to me promise he'd come take a look in the spring spring came and never received any type of contact back. Now just 4 years later my walkway looks worse than the one I replaced. My driveway turns more and more to sand and the investment that's supposed to last me over 20 some years I doubt is going to make it to 10. Concrete is supposed to be an investment they were not the cheapest company to go with and I can't believe I wasted the money. "

"Detroit Concrete Leveling diagnosed my somewhat complex driveway issues and fixed the issues as described. They were honest and efficient in quoting and completing the work. I was able to hire a snowplowing contractor after this repair."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Warren, MI

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
