"Adam Peterson the owner of Peteâ s Pest Patrol, was super informative and professional when he came to my daughters house for a consultation! He took the time to explain absolutely everything we needed to know about our rat problem and how he planned to get rid of them. We signed up for immediate pest control and a maintenance program to keep our house pest & vermin free and Iâ m glad we did. Both Adam and his associate, Michael, have already been to the house three times, pointed out all the things we need to do in order to keep pests away and have already sealed all the entrances the rats can use to enter the house and eradicated several vermin. I couldnâ t be happier with the service from Peteâ s pest patrol!"

"Tyler is a lifesaver! He came to do a free estimate (which the price was VERY affordable to have traps and trail cam for 2 full weeks so he could monitor the activity) and put out the trap and camera that morning. We had a raccoon infiltration. For an extra minor fee,he wrapped the corners of my front gutters at the roof line so squirrels couldn't get in the attic of our newly -replaced roof. Overnight,a raccoon got trapped and Tyler texted me first thing in the morning since he saw it on the trail cam. Inadvertently got an opossum ( he showed me how to open trap safely for opossums),but got another raccoon last night. As I type,I can hear another raccoon just got trapped (I get home after 10pm). I have learned so much about raccoons from him. I highly recommend him.If I have another raccoon issue next winter (the cold makes them seek shelter), I will call him with no hesitation! "

Customers say: Quality work

"Calvin was who called me back and he said in order for them to come out and give me a service I would have to sign an agreement that I would continue with them for a year. When I asked what happens if I'm not happy with the job, Calvin said it would be no problem to discontinue. Well, I wan't happy with the job, though the tech that came out to service our home was very nice and professional. However, it did not take care of my pest problem so after 2 tries I cancelled. Now they are saying I have to pay a disconnect fee per the agreement. I told them what I was told and all they would say is "I apologize." Clearly this is a rehearsed line that they've told others. I would have to say that this is a dishonest company. Saying what it takes to get the job and then holding you responsible for their poor work. I am a bit cautious to say the least to go with Angies again if this is whom they are recommending."

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Winder, GA

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
