"I selected this company based on their reviews on Angie's List and was completely satisfied with them.  Compared to the other companies that provided estimates, the Darville folks were prompt, friendly, and competent.  Their price was towards the high end of the range of estimates I had obtained, but it was reasonable value for the work they provided.  The owner, Mark Darville, met with me in person before they started the work and spent about 45 minutes in the house with me, going over everything that needed to be done and the schedule and reasons for doing it. The furnace closet needed to be enlarged to accommodate the new larger unit, which was work they don't do, but he recommended a local carpenter to do that work for me who was affordable and quick.  From talking with Mr. Darville, it was clear that he -- a third-generation HVAC specialist -- and his family put real pride and effort into training and supporting their technicians.  They also have a large enough staff of work crews that - unlike several other companies who provided estimates - they were able to start work on this project the next day, and they finished it in less than a week. I definitely recommend this company and plan to use them for follow-up service. <br />"

"I first called Doug when my local plumber had an injury and recommended look in a neighboring town for another repair plumber. I called several different plumbing offices and only one had the courtesy to call me back within the hour. Doug was able to come out that evening and clear my septic drain with no issues whatsoever. Upon completion of the job, I had him look under the kitchen sink and ask if he might be available to repair/replace all the supply and drain lines under my kitchen sink and a new faucet. He gave a rough estimate with the stipulation that no major hurdles pop up. He said would prefer to do it in the AM since he will first come out, evaluate all that was needed parts wise and go pick them up. He was here as promised and even sent me a text to let me know him and his helper were on the way. As expected, he arrived and took his notes as to what he needed then explained to me all he was going to do. When he returned, he hopped to work and we were only without water for a short while. The intrusions were minimal and the only annoyance was from my kids wanting to watch and get in the way. He and his helper were extremely courteous to them. During the work, Doug let me know all he was doing and about future concerns about the high calcium build up in our lines. They worked quickly, efficiently, and cleaned as they worked. I was nothing but impressed with their professionalism! <br>The total came in a little higher due to issues unforeseen, just as he said might be the case, but well within what could be expected. After testing the lines and all the work was done, he walked me through the work completed and addressed any concerns and asked if there was anything else I might need or have concerns about. I had none! <br>I highly recommend Doug Powers to handle any and all plumbing needs. His work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism should be highly sought after. He is the only plumber I have ever had tell me that he only does repair work and loves it. <br>--- Also, when scheduling the work, he told me that unless a customer has a leak or major issue, that my work <br>can wait since leaks are priority. I found that to bring my perception of his work ethic even higher than before then! <br>"
