David Lupberger on Cosentino Countertops: Hi, I'm David Lupberger with ServiceMagic.com. I'm here with Patty Dominguez of Cosentino, and she's going to tell us a little about the new technologies in bath and kitchen countertops.
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Hi how you?
Lupberger: I'm doing very well.
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Good David.
Lupberger: Can you tell me a little more about what this particular product is?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Yes, this is called Eco by Cosentino and it's a new product. It's 75% recyclable material. Our material is post-consumer, post-industrial; we have a cradle-to-cradle certification. And as you can see from the colors we have focused very highly on the design factor of it.
Lupberger: Yes, so can you tell me when you say it's 75%, what kind of materials again?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: The recyclable materials that we use for example; are mirror, glass, porcelain...
Lupberger: These are what these made out of?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Yes, crystallized ashes, corn based resin, okay?
Lupberger: You've got whites, and black over there, how do you get the different colors?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Well the different color of the ashes we can make it into darker color or lighter color.
Lupberger: Alright, can you tell me a little bit more? What's the warranty on these eco-friendly products?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Well Eco by Cosentino is a five year warranty. It's a non-porous product, and it's high performance against staining, scratching and scorching.
Lupberger: So you could put hot things on this and it's not going to scorch or damage it?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: That's correct.
Lupberger: So now we're looking at Cosentino's flagship brand silestone. Can you tell me, what's the latest development with silestone, Patty?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Yes, silestone is the leader in quartz in the world. And today we are featuring four new colors, called our "Platinum series". As you can see these four colors are made, they have all the attributes of silestone with a fifteen year warranty.
Lupberger: Fifteen years?
Patty Dominguez/Cosentino: Yes, and we also have the micro-band which is in our product. Just like all of our other silestone colors. They do have micro-band which is anti-microbial protection that stops the growth of micro-bacteria. And these colors are made with some of the most unique high-end quartz material that there is out there.
Lupberger: It's gorgeous.
