"Dana was professional and very nice. He went above and beyond checking the temperature inside to insure vents were working properly, replacing insulation on tubing and checking thermostats. I would definitely request that he do the work on my heating and air conditioning in the future."

"VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH. WORKED EVERY DAY UNTIL THE JOB WAS COMPLETE. STARTED WORK EVERY DAY PROMPTLY AT 8:00 A.M. AND STAYED TO 4:00 P.M. THEIR WORK WAS EXTREMELY PRECISE AND NEAT.THEY WERE ABLE TO RUN NEW LINE SETS COPPER & ELECTRICAL FOR MY 2 NEW OUTSIDE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSERS UNDER WOOD DECKING THAT WAS REMOVED & PUT BACK METICULOUSLY EXACTLY LIKE IT WAS WHEN FIRST INSTALLED. THEY ALSO BUILT A NEW PRESSURE TREATED PLATFORM FOR MY OUTSIDE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSERS TO SIT ON . THE PLATFORM WAS CONSTRUCTED WITH PRECISION THAT I DON"T THINK A CARPENTER COULD FABRICATE WITH ANY GREATER PRECISION. THE INTERIOR WORK OF INSTALLING 2 NEW HEATERS WITH 2 NEW AIR FILTERS & NEW INSULATED DUCT WORK WAS DONE VERY NEATLY . I ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ALL AIR CONDITIONING PROJECTS & YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED,"

"If you are in need of any residential HVAC service I Highly recommend Anthony and his team for this project. Anthony recently installed my entire new AC unit at my house in Wildwood Crest, and the workmanship was exceptional. Anthony is very honest, friendly and offered this project service at a fair price. Anthony follows up on his work after it’s completed to ensure everything works properly. I will definitely use his services and recommend him to anyone in the future who is in need of HVAC services."

Most professional HVAC technicians require two to three hours to complete an expansion valve replacement. The timeframe depends on your unit's accessibility and whether additional repairs are needed. The process involves recovering refrigerant, removing the old valve, installing the new component, and recharging the system. Scheduling during less busy seasons may result in more convenient appointment times.
Operating your air conditioner with a malfunctioning expansion valve isn't advisable. Continuing to run the system could potentially damage other components, particularly your compressor, which is significantly more expensive to replace. If you notice performance issues like inconsistent cooling or unusual noises, it's best to have your system inspected before continuing regular use.
Expansion valves don't have a standard replacement schedule, as their longevity depends on system usage, maintenance frequency, and environmental factors. Regular professional maintenance helps identify potential valve issues before they cause system failure. Having your HVAC system serviced annually allows technicians to monitor component condition and recommend preventative replacements when necessary.
Refrigerant leaks require prompt professional attention. If your expansion valve is leaking, you'll likely notice reduced cooling performance and possibly hear hissing sounds near the unit. Addressing leaks quickly prevents further system inefficiency and avoids the environmental impact of released refrigerant. Your HVAC technician will need to repair the leak and recharge the system with the proper refrigerant type and amount.
Because many AC issues present similar symptoms, professional diagnosis is recommended. Problems like inadequate cooling, inconsistent temperatures, or strange noises could indicate expansion valve issues, but might also stem from refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, or airflow restrictions. A qualified HVAC technician has the tools and expertise to accurately identify the root cause and recommend appropriate repairs.
