They protected my floors with tarps and were very careful to protect my walls as they moved equipment in and out. "Rick (Ricardo Mora), the owner of American Heating & Air, came to my house to look at a very old gas wall heater and give me an estimate. I was having a problem with it turning on automatically from the thermostat but not always turning off. Another company had refused to even look at it because of its age and told me I had no option other than replacing it, which is not something I can afford to do at this time. Rick not only looked at the heater, and figured out a couple of possible reasons why it didn't always turn off, but he actually disassembled the whole thing to inspect the inside of the furnace and make sure it didn't have any cracks or holes in it, and then put everything back together again. He adjusted the air intake and gas pressure and inspected and fixed the thermostat which had loose screws. Lastly he looked at another old wall heater identical to this one and secured the front panel which was loose. Now the old furnace is working just fine and he saved me thousands of dollars of expense. I also now know more about the inner anatomy of a gas wall heater and how it works than I ever wanted to know! I am extremely grateful for his help and highly recommend his company. Rick is knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, punctual, and generous with his time. He went way beyond the call of duty to help me out. These old heaters won't last forever and I would have no qualms about hiring this company to repair or replace them. Besides, I like to support small businesses and locally owned and operated companies."
