"It was the Friday after Thanksgiving during a pandemic COVID-19. Our radiant heat was not working in the whole house, and it was freezing outside. I made four phone calls and submitted a request via Angies List. I immediately received a text from Santa Fe Heating and Cooling Services, that said they were with a client and would call me as soon as they were done and what did I need. Nobody else returned my calls or messages until the following week! David Aguirre was at our house an hour after we texted. Great, honest person. Figured out the problem, fixed the issue and was very clear in communicating and showing us the problem. Was so impressed that we hired him to replace our hot water heater. Once again he showed up on time when he said he would, communicated with us every step of the way, and explained and showed us what he was doing and why. All quotes were fair and reasonable, no surprises. We are definitely sticking with Santa Fe Heating and Cooling Services! Thank you for being honest and reliable."

"I haven't had any troubled with them. They did what they were suppose to do. I don't have any price comparison. They system works. The quality is fine. Our needs were to check out the air conditioner and change the filer. They satisfied them. They came when they said they would come. This was not an emergency situation, it was an annual maintenance. I can't think of anything off hand. They came and did what they were suppose to do. I have no idea how many workers were there. The work took fifteen to twenty minutes to complete. That they were competent at what they did."

"I am very pleased with the service and equipment. Patrick was prompt, did the work quickly and cleaned up afterward. His price was very reasonable and he has called to check on the system and make sure I am satisfied. I know he will be there right away if I have any problems. I had no experience with choosing a system for an older house in Santa Fe. There is no ductwork. It was heated with a wood stove. The mini split system has given me three zones in the house where I can control the heat or cooling separately. This is perfect for me because I don't have to heat or cool areas that I am not using."

"Lino was very professional, and took the time to explain to me the do's and don'ts relating to HWH and boiler maintenance. He tested all three zone thermometers to be sure that they were functioning correctly, and told me about things to look for when a problem might be about to occur. He also advised me that overall both the boiler and HWH were in very good shape and that with routine maintenance they would last for many years. The cost was very reasonable given how long he stayed, and I plan to use Universal every year in the future. I particularly appreciated Lino's honesty - another vendor in Santa Fe told me that my boiler was and quot;a tract house boiler,and quot; that it was not functioning correctly, that I was at risk of CO poisoning and/or a fire due to incorrect venting. That vendor recommended that I replace the entire system (which is only seven years old) with a new HE boiler and indirect HWH for a price of $10,000. Needless to say, I will not be using that other vendor in the future.
