"Excellent! The team worked diligently for 5 days to install a central air system in our old house with Plaster Walls. It was NOT easy, yet they did a fantastic job. They were able to add all ducts to the first floor with out any "chases" or enclosures requiring to be build. And almost none of our first floor lines up with our second floor closets, but they figured it out. Great time and fantastic service. Make sure you get Brandon and Sean. The work their butts off, and ensure your house stays clean (they cleaned up everything after every day - not an easy feat). Cannot say how happy am I with their work!"

"They definitely earned this 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review!! I can't say enough good things about VIP HVAC, they truly went above and beyond! Hector, the owner, came out with two of his crew members the day before the 4th of July to replace both my AC and furnace. They arrived right at 8am and worked nonstop until 6:30pm to make sure everything was done perfectly. Throughout the job, they found a few unexpected issues, but Hector and his team kept me informed the entire time and handled everything with professionalism and care. I was so impressed by their hard work, attention to detail, and clear communication. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and dedicated HVAC company, I highly recommend VIP HVAC. Hector and his crew are the real deal!"

"I had my HVAC replaced in my condo during the summer of 2018. I had just moved and had painters working when it malfunctioned. There turned out to be a leak and I decided to purchase a new system after hearing about previous problems with the unit. I had used Valairco for annual checkups and was happy with the company. I ordered the new system requesting it be done as soon as possible because of the situation. They immediately ordered the new system and installed it as soon as it was shipped to them. Lou did a great job and I’m happy with my purchase and guarantee."

"I was very happy with my service call today! The repairman, Scott, was knowledgeable and pleasant and wore a mask and gloves throughout., so I felt safe, despite the pandemic. He serviced both of my central air systems and diagnosed the problem with the malfunctioning one and fixed it. By the time he left my house was already a much more pleasant place to be!"

"I am so happy I chose company Extra Air to replace our air conditioning unit. Art was incredibly professional and trustworthy. Art and his team were all very hard workers and did not stop until the job was done which was greatly appreciated since it was so hot outside. Art and his team made sure to take all precautionary measures to make sure they didnâ t make a mess and made sure to clean up after themselves; they were all very respectful and considerate of us and our home. The new unit is working great and we are really enjoying the cool air. Art truly went above and beyond, and I am so grateful. I will 100% chose Art for any air conditioning work in the future and highly recommend him to anyone in the area who is looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and professional company."

Most professional HVAC technicians require two to three hours to complete an expansion valve replacement. The timeframe depends on your unit's accessibility and whether additional repairs are needed. The process involves recovering refrigerant, removing the old valve, installing the new component, and recharging the system. Scheduling during less busy seasons may result in more convenient appointment times.
Operating your air conditioner with a malfunctioning expansion valve isn't advisable. Continuing to run the system could potentially damage other components, particularly your compressor, which is significantly more expensive to replace. If you notice performance issues like inconsistent cooling or unusual noises, it's best to have your system inspected before continuing regular use.
Expansion valves don't have a standard replacement schedule, as their longevity depends on system usage, maintenance frequency, and environmental factors. Regular professional maintenance helps identify potential valve issues before they cause system failure. Having your HVAC system serviced annually allows technicians to monitor component condition and recommend preventative replacements when necessary.
Refrigerant leaks require prompt professional attention. If your expansion valve is leaking, you'll likely notice reduced cooling performance and possibly hear hissing sounds near the unit. Addressing leaks quickly prevents further system inefficiency and avoids the environmental impact of released refrigerant. Your HVAC technician will need to repair the leak and recharge the system with the proper refrigerant type and amount.
Because many AC issues present similar symptoms, professional diagnosis is recommended. Problems like inadequate cooling, inconsistent temperatures, or strange noises could indicate expansion valve issues, but might also stem from refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, or airflow restrictions. A qualified HVAC technician has the tools and expertise to accurately identify the root cause and recommend appropriate repairs.
