"I reached out to 5 gas stove repair companies through Angi. 3 responded expressing availability. I chose one after looking at their webpage. They were scheduled to come the following morning the technician didn't show up, and I was unable to reach the company by phone. So, I called FixVerse around 1 pm to see if they could come that afternoon. Even though the technician was booked for that afternoon, he was able to squeeze me in at the end of the day at 6 pm. He arrived right around 6 pm, and he was able to confirm that all my gas top burners were working properly as well as the oven. I was renting my apartment to a tenant who was moving in in two days. It started humming very loudly and displayed a PF (power failure) error, indicating a blown fuse or a control board failure. Wintley Baptiste from The Equipment Doctors stopped by two days after I made contact through Angi. He diagnosed the problem as a failed control board and said he would have to order the part and come back in 7-10 days to install it. He gave me an estimated price for the part and labor to install it and asked if I wanted to proceed. I said yes (if I had said no, I would owe $150 for the visit and diagnosis). Wintley called a week later, saying he had the part and could stop by that same day to install it. He did so and the microwave is working fine. The price to repair the microwave was $330. By comparison, a new microwave would have cost at least $500."
