"It went really well. I used the Omega Force Appliance Repair company. Their repairman Seth was very knowledgeable with dishwasher problems, He had the parts on hand and he was able to make the repair right away. He did have to come back to adjust the float switch on the dishwasher. He didn't charge me for making the adjustment, and when I ran the dishwasher it ran like it did when it was new. I'm very pleased and would use them again. I highly recommend Omega Force Appliance Repair!!!"

"The fridge portion of our 10-year-old Kenmore refrigerator stopped cooling a week ago, so after spending the week deciding whether to fix it or replace it, my husband and I joined Angie's List in order to find a reputable business to repair it. I called SOS Appliance this morning and they scheduled a time window of 4:00 to 6:00 pm today to stop by, so "A" for responsiveness. The company called a little after 5 pm to tell me that the repairman was at the job before mine, but that he would probably be at my house towards the end of the time window and then at 5:45 pm the repairman called to say that he would arrive in about 20 minutes. He did arrive slightly after the time window, hence the "B" or "good" rating, but I understand it's hard to determine how much time jobs earlier in the day will take when scheduling later-in-the-day appointments. He quickly diagnosed the refrigerator's problem as a non-functioning evaporator motor, quoted me a price to repair it, and asked me if I wanted to have the work done right now. Since there was a service call fee if no work was completed, I figured I might as well spend the approximately $240 to fix it now, thereby avoiding the service fee and immediately regaining my fridge space. (I've been using my 22-year-old dorm mini-fridge for the last few days!) The repairman had the fridge working again very quickly, I signed the computer receipt, and off the guy went. After he left, I realized that have have no paper copy of the receipt or any type of work order. Maybe it will be mailed to me? All in all, my experience with SOS Appliance has been excellent."

"The technician did some testing and then recommended that we needed not only a completely new air conditioner but also a new furnace. Since we've had no trouble with either appliance we were skeptical. We will get a second and, perhaps, even a third opinion but we came away with the feeling that this special offer through Angie's list might have just been a way to try to sell appliances. And the quote they gave us for just the air conditioner was higher than prices we've seen advertised for both the A/C and the furnace."

"I called and was able to get an electrician out within a couple of days and he arrived on-time. Ben replace two non-working sockets and one other one that had become hot to the touch. Ben explained why this had happen and suggested ways to prevent it from happening in the future. Plus I asked him additional questions about adding outlets and electric heat to my upstairs. He was very helpful and also gave me an estimate on the cost of the additional service. I am very pleased with all the services I received from Cady Handyman Services. Thank you."

"I pay $75 annually for a certain amount of appliances to be covered. What we didn't know is that you still have to pay a service call fee and if the technician deems the appliance still functional they will not fix it and if the technician says there is nothing wrong with the appliance, they will not fix it. In other words, the appliance has to be completely broken in order for them to fix it."

Yes, buying appliances in a bundle can save you money and reduce the cost per unit. Retailers often offer discounts when you purchase three or more appliances from the same brand together. This approach not only lowers your appliance expenses but also simplifies installation coordination, providing financial and scheduling benefits.
The best time to buy a new appliance is when your current one fails or during a renovation. Major shopping holidays like Black Friday and Labor Day offer seasonal sales with better discounts. Planning your purchase during these times helps you maximize savings and aligns with your home improvement plans.
When you buy a new appliance, many retailers will also remove and dispose of your old appliances when they come to install the new ones. To dispose of your old appliance yourself, start by safely disconnecting it. If it's no longer functional, you can recycle it. If it still operates safely, consider donating or selling it to recoup some value. Some retailers offer trade-in programs for discounts on new models. These options promote eco-friendly disposal and help reduce waste.
