"My experience with wizard construction wasn t forged in your typical fashion.. They were a subcontractor on a medium scale home build that we were forced to utilize. That being said I was a bit skeptical on the quality and value I would get as I wasnt in the position to compare others in the field for the things I wanted done. In our first meeting Dan was polite courteous and attentive listening to my grandiose ideas as expected. From here, I still didn t expect much as I was smiled at and promised things by other subcontractors on the build and left overwhelmingly disappointed. A few days later I get a call from Dan telling me we need to meet onsite to discuss design. On this meeting I realized that even though he wasn t my choice he was most certainly the right guy for the job I wanted done. He spoke with such passion about the design detail of my ceiling you could see how this thing wasnt just a job for him. Me being the overbearing customer would then make suggestions on how to go about doing certain things, always thinking I was right, would always be proven wrong as dans eye for design was spot on. At a certain point I had to just tell him he has free reign and can let his imagination run on making the details of my home look beautiful. This includes but isn t limited to custom bookcases, mud room built ins, bay window cubbies, two story stairway wainscot entryways, a wall of wood detail custom speced out for my artwork, two story door archways, and those insane coffered ceilings he designed tying in the kitchen to the living space. Might I note all done under what I expected to pay. Even though it wasn t his responsibility he would always have my best interests in the build and fix issues that were created by others. With this experience I also decided to use him (even though at this point I could use whoever I wanted) in the design and build of my basement as well as my three seasons room. I couldn t be happier with his work, his passion, and his price. I said at the beginning of this that I was forced to use dan and wizard construction, I can say now that I m extremely fortunate of these circumstances "
