"AVSTEP was great to work with, the team started earlier than expected and completely fixed my foundation, not only with replacement block and cement, but added two different types of waterproofing as well. When additional wood rot was found on top of the foundation, they were able to repair that as well without adding more time to the project. The heavy brick and mortar waste from the building was promptly removed like it was never there. Would recommend AVSTEP for future building needs."

"Working with Esther and my account manager, Martha, was a real pleasure. Our informative conversations never felt rushed, and replies ro my emails were thoughtful and comprehensive--If occasionally somewhat delayed. The professional co-op set allowed my project to breeze through board approval. Highly recommend!"

"We had the pleasure of working with Evan, whom we found on Angie's List, and we couldn't be happier with the results. His expertise proved invaluable in converting our 2-bedroom apartment into a spacious and legally compliant 3-bedroom. He skillfully handled the innovative splitting of a large closet to create a new closet for the additional bedroom, ensuring that the modifications met all the necessary building codes and regulations. Throughout the entire project, Evan consistently displayed insightful guidance, proactive problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and remarkable responsiveness. Despite the challenges posed by our persnickety building architect, he remained positive and dedicated. We are immensely satisfied with his tireless efforts in not only transforming our apartment but also ensuring its legal compliance. We highly recommend Evan for his exceptional work. Angie's List truly connected us with an exceptional professional."

"The guidance that we received from Neil when launching into a basement waterproofing and renovation has been invaluable. He caught several things that would have been real pitfalls for us later, including that a wall we previously thought was not load-bearing actually was! He thoroughly explained all the issues involved and possible remedies we could implement. Neil was also really good about telling us which things were essential and which were more optional or could be addressed at a later date. It is clear he has a real passion for the work, is extremely knowledgable and communicates well. We felt so much better armed to go into conversations with general contractors after our meeting with Neil. He was also extremely generous with his time - we did not feel rushed at all during our walkthrough and he was available for follow-up questions afterward. Homeowners, do not let mistakes during renovation bite you later - take the time to hire Neil first!"
