"I called Josh to finish up a base board, window casing and door repair project that another contractor had started, but didn't finish. Josh came out the same day I called him to bid the project. Josh explained everything to me in detail and provided me with a quote for the job, which was very fair. He came out the next day and installed base boards and window casings, corrected an uneven entry door and corrected a door threshold that was sitting lower than the floor. He completed everything on time, and on budget and cleaned up after he finished the job. "This job was to renovate my home in preparation to sell it in early March. It consisted of a kitchen and 3 bathroom upgrade, flooring and lighting fixture replacement, painting and removal of 3 popcorn ceilings. Beginning the second week of January, the entire job was completed within 6 weeks. When first hired, the principal of Palm Construction carefully tuned in to my specific needs and targeted timeframe, offering succinct suggestions respects colors, style and quality of products used. Specialists in each trade worked cohesively with each other, as well as alongside other contractors that I had personally hired separately for windows and pool replaster. Although I had intended to live in the property during the renovation, I quickly realized that my occupancy was impeding progress, so I made the decision to vacate the premises. This was especially important during the removal of popcorn ceilings which contained asbestos. The work moved seamlessly from the removal of kitchen counters, sink, cabinet doors, appliances and flooring to the demolition of 3 bathrooms. Timely mutual decisions were made about fixtures, mirrors, flooring, sinks, vanities, paint and hardware, allowing the job to progress steadily to reach very precise goals. Along the way, it was determined that the air ducts needed replacing and AC would be a welcome addition to the total job. These issues were discussed and explained clearly and quoted at a reasonable cost - so I decided to add the change orders. Although I had never been involved with a home renovation in the past, I was very impressed with the patience and care taken to communicate with me throughout the entire job. I was a demanding customer with an expectation of perfectionism and Palm Construction was up for the challenge. Beyond the scope of the original job, Palm went above and beyond with finishing touches and little extras here and there. They've come back to help me even after completion of the job, when I needed some additional retrofits for my appliance installation, which was not even part of the original job. I know that I can count on Palm Construction to be responsive and willing for anything that may come up in the future. I learned that they are a GC that you can totally trust and rely on. In summary, I am in awe of the completed work. My friends and neighbors are astonished with the transformation of my home. The end product is flawless and most impressive. My realtor has already offered Palm Construction opportunities for other jobs. My neighbors have asked for their contact information to get quotes. I highly recommend Palm Construction for your renovation work, whether it is a large or small job. During the 6 weeks of this job, I got to know the principal, Guy Yaakov, and his team. "Beach City Renovations is a small but incredibly versatile contractor. Mike Aubrey is very talented at a wide array of construction tasks (he has built two houses from the ground up). For our recent major remodel project, he supervised and oversaw all the building trades, including plumbing, electrical, framing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, roofing, and landscaping. Mr. Aubrey personally performed all framing; rough and finish carpentry; roofing; installation of windows, doors, and skylights; drywall repair; tile & stone work; concrete repair; and more. He completely remodeled three bathrooms, including laying new tiled floors, installing new cabinetry, vanities and countertops, and removing two bathtubs and replacing them with beautifully tiled showers, fully waterproofed to current standards. He also remodeled our 3-car garage, building a full-width overhead storage loft. As necessary, he supervised subordinates to assist him. He worked closely with and made necessary changes to the architect's and engineer's drawings. Mike's work passed all building inspections with flying colors.
