"We had the aging cement board siding on our house painted with dark grey. We had a very large area to paint. Single thick coat looks real good. Workers first washed house down. After drying, all trim abutting cement board was sealed. Then several workers banged out house painting in 1 1/2 days. I was amazed at how quick they worked with diligence. a few days later a couple workers returned to paint the front door (no extra cost). They also recoated paint on the the columns and painted trim boards around the front porch without us asking. Work was very professional and thorough. The price was very reasonable and the payment schedule was broken down in manner agreeable for both us and PLJ. "Mike is the best contractor we have had the opportunity to work with. We were skeptical at first because most other contractors we have worked with over promise and under perform, as well as do not return phone calls / emails. Not Mike. For our kitchen project, he went out of his way to insure every piece of the project was finished and passed his own QC (which in many cases was more stringent than our own QC). He came up with a few ideas that really made the project shine (like the addition of an archway to separate two ceiling heights). Mike also was not afraid to express his opinion based on his experiences and this saved us a lot of time and money. Mike always told you what he was doing, when it would be done and what the next day consisted of so you could prepare yourself. His helper (also named Mike), is also a professional. Care was taken to insure proper set up and take down of anything needing to be installed. Each day, the job site would be cleaned to make the rest of the house more livable during construction. We are extremely impressed with the work and talents of Mike Carlon and are very happy we had him complete our kitchen remodel.
