"Isaac is an incredibly thoughtful, honest, and effective craftsman. We called him after we noticed leaks in our roof after a heavy rain. We checked with 4 other contractors, and Isaac’s price was thousands and thousands of dollars cheaper. He came timely and did efficient and effective work. More than that, when it rained lightly after he completed the job, he’s offered to come back for free to add another coat, just in case the rain impacted his job. He didn’t have to do it, but he wanted to make sure he got the job done well. Because of his honesty, integrity, and hard work, he’s going to be our first call for contractor work."

"This is a lot of references rolled into one. Mitch from The Carpet Store in Sylmar certainly doesn’t have a glossy showroom, but has everything, is a good person and works with a lot of contractors. When I asked for a reference, Mitch said that flooring is the last step on a lot of renovation jobs. The contractor he doesn’t hear complaints about is Tony of TME. I also checked Houzz and the other websites and they say the same thing that I’m saying here. If you can, work with TME. Tony is a human buzz saw. He is always there, works hard, fast, meticulously and at a reasonable cost. That is just great but there is more. It was fun to work with Tony. (His sense of humor can be a real groaner, but, much as I hate to admit it, I’m still smiling.) He is honest, genuinely cares about what you want, the quality of the work and the schedule. He brought in a group of workers who were a pleasure to have in the house and who had been with him for years. I also recommend using his advice. He is smart and experienced and has a very good eye about what is going to work and look good. I had a complicated project. Work was needed on damage from past leaks, mold checking (a science in its own right) and 2 1/2 bathroom remodels. He did everything meticulously to code. The results were just beautiful. Tony became a friend, and I will certainly keep working with him."

"We decided to install an outdoor kitchen and needed a solid base. The crew created a large concrete slab that measured around 400 sq. ft. They first excavated, installed a compacted gravel base, and added rebar before framing everything out. Drainage slope was included so water doesn't pool, and they ensured utilities could run through conduit before the pour. The slab was finished with a smooth surface since it will later be tiled. Permits were pulled in advance, and city inspectors signed off at every stage. The process took a few weeks, and the space is now ready for the kitchen installation. The precision in layout and attention to detail stood out to me. It feels like we've got a reliable foundation for years of outdoor use."

"All tasks performed quickly and professionally. In addition, Marco purchased at his own expense a doorknob, provided extra caulking, matched the paint for the drywall patch, and repaired a stair nosing without being asked. We have other household repairs and feel confident in using Marco."

"We did a whole kitchen remodel. David was very knowledgeable and recommended a wall removal which completely changed the look of our kitchen and opened it up. Everyone that worked on the kitchen was very professional and they stuck to their schedule. They were pretty quick getting us back in our kitchen and it turned our beautiful. I absolutely love my kitchen and I am so happy I chose CA Cabinets."

"We discovered (the hard way) why we needed to hire a licensed contractor like Mr. Handyman, and we’re glad we did. We have been using the same good independent handyman for some time. He’s pretty cheap and he does decent work, although sometimes it’s hard to reach him (especially when we need him to come back and fix something that didn’t quite work out), and sometimes he doesn’t show up because another job took longer than he expected. But we were willing to use him for a small bathroom remodel. We had called Mr. Handyman for a quote because we wanted to compare and we had used Mr. Handyman to build a deck at another address, but they were a tad bit higher priced, so we hired our regular guy. Bad idea! We started our handyman, and our neighbors weren’t thrilled with the noise from the work, so they called the city. Turns out that there’s a state law requiring you to use a licensed contractor for any work that is over $500. We didn’t know that, and we were cited by the city, as was our handyman (he knew this law). Apparently Los Angeles is cracking down on handymen who break this law. It dose us a lot of extra money we hadn’t anticipated, and our handyman couldn’t finish the job. So back to Mr. Handyman. These guys are a little more expensive than your average back-of-the-truck handyman, and I understand why. They’re uniformed, drive nice vans, background check their employees, and most importantly, they are licensed. So if anything goes wrong, you have the state contractor’s license board to complain to. But nothing went wrong. It was a dream from start to finish. They show up on time, they never canceled, they were super duper fast, the work was stunning, the were thoroughly professional, and we are thrilled with the work. Don’t make the same mistake we made by going cheap. Just call Mr. Handyman."
