"Man, it's so expensive for anything you have to do to your house. Sticker shock is crazy but once you get over the fact that no matter who you hire, it's going to cost more than you expected then you can find the best team for the job. I chose deck because they simply specialize in decks. It wasn't cheap but they weren't crazy expensive like some of the other quotes I got. I had one quote $40k to replace a few boards and paint the entire deck and stairs. Another company wanted $20k, another company told me to knock it down. WHAT? Anyway I went with Ideck for $4500. They were quick and used the good paint and primer."

"I was originally planning to get a wooden door, but Tony explained how much cheaper and easier it would be just to get a pre-hung metal door. He explained it would never need maintenance (as, of course, wood does), and all I'd ever have to do is just hose it down. He replaced the posts and joists underneath the deck and sanded, refinished and painted the pergola. We had our wood slats removed and replaced with custom cable railings which came out even better than I expected. He was very easy to work with and extremely accommodating. He worked within our budget as well. I interviewed about 10 contractors for this job and had a great feeling about Isaac and his company and he was willing and able to do exactly what I wanted. I feel that communication is so important when doing any construction project and he was great at that and letting me know everything that was happening. "We decided to install an outdoor kitchen and needed a solid base. The crew created a large concrete slab that measured around 400 sq. ft. They first excavated, installed a compacted gravel base, and added rebar before framing everything out. Drainage slope was included so water doesn't pool, and they ensured utilities could run through conduit before the pour. The slab was finished with a smooth surface since it will later be tiled. Permits were pulled in advance, and city inspectors signed off at every stage. The process took a few weeks, and the space is now ready for the kitchen installation.
