"Everything went GREAT! Wayne perfectly matched the texture in our home. We have a custom home & the texture is not easy to duplicate. After he finished it looks like nothing happpened. Way also repaired the sheetrock in the ceiling and matched the existing finish. Perfectly done. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"This is the second time we have used Max Contractors Services for our interior painting needs. Mr. Adrian is a pleasure to work with and the painters were professional, prompt and did a fabulous thorough job. We would be happy to use them again."

"Back in November 2024, my husband and I discussed remodeling the kitchen to something brighter and more spacious. The brown cabinets made the kitchen look dark and dreary. After meeting with several contractors, we hired Tell Projects. We met with Adrianna who listened to our vision for the remodel, listened to our concerns and provided us with their credentials. She set out to design what the kitchen could look like. Once we received the estimate and signed the contract we set a start date. We were given a 3–4-week time frame, allowing for anything unexpected (like snowstorm Enzo on January 21 and 22). Project started January 2, 2025, with the demo, and was completed on January 27, 2025, with touch up painting and walk through. We could not be happier with the results. The pictures do not do justice to what our kitchen now looks like, All the workers were courteous, friendly and professional. Some of the workers even offered suggestions on how to make the design more user friendly and complimentary. They left the site clean every time they worked on it. We would like to acknowledge all the staff that made our dream kitchen come to life. Project managers Zach and Maikel. "I've been using this company for quite some time. He last installed a door for me that I purchased from Lowe's. Working with this company is very good. I've always been satisfied with his work, and I have other projects I'll have him work on in the future. Great company."

"Robert knew just what to do. He explained everything very thoroughly. He then went to purchase the needed materials and get a paint match to the existing trim. He returned promptly and got the entire room sealed on the outside. No more rain or bugs and the ceiling fan works great!!"

Customers say: True professional
"Brandon was very professional and helped us decide how to create what we needed while keeping a natural flow to the house and staying within code on access dimensions etc. He has been very responsive to any email and phone queries and was punctual. There were no cost ovberruns except for additional items that we asked him to do and the price for those was very reasonable. (We had just bought the house, so as we got more familiar with the house we found several small repairs that needed to be done )
The subs that came in were all very professional and courteous and made sure the work area was cleaned up every day. The work has been completed to a high standard.
We have been very happy with Brandon's work and would use him again.

Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
