"I hired them to install three exterior lights, by my front and back doors & garage. I had the fixtures, just needed someone to install. Good work at a reasonable price. I subsequently hired them to fix some wood rot by my garage door. Ivan cams in, cut out and replaced the bad pieces, caulked and repainted. Excellent job!"

"This was the most fantastic experience I've had with a cleaning service. I e-mailed on a weekday night to schedule service, and I received a call back the next morning from Elliot, first thing. I was given a clear explanation of the services, fielded a LOT of questions (so that we were on the same page), and was able to schedule a cleaning for that week. On the scheduled day, Elliot arrived with the cleaning woman, who did not speak very much English, but who was VERY nice and very helpful in every way. We walked through exactly what rooms needed cleaning, as well as whether she was to clean AROUND things or pick up things and move everything in order to do a more thorough job. I appreciated that, since certain things I wanted moved/lifted/thorough, while others (like their bedrooms), I just wanted a brief vacuum. We also discussed how long it would take. I was surprised by the estimate (5 hours seemed low for how dirty everything was), and I was even more surprised that it came in right at 5 hours. The job was thorough, and she happily cleaned a few things that I pointed out. When she left she slid the invoice under my door, and Elliot charged my credit card (which he took before he left). I would definitely use them again."

"This guy is an artist working with drywall, I hate to do demolition. So Jose will do repairs and after he finishes you would say thats a brand new wall. I do have pictures from the jobs he has done in my properties."

"So far I have had them install a garbage disposal and a ceiling fan. Wanted to say they were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Has been a pleasure to work with them."

"Our experience with AP Builder was great. Angelo was very knowledgeable and professional, keeping us informed every step of the way. This was a big important project for our home and I am extremely happy with how it came out! The cost was very reasonable and there were no surprises, everything was open and honest. I would definitely use them again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you AP!"

"They initially set the date and time, they contacted me the day to ask a time change. They can change the time to a later time, and they were still late with the time change. They were late and I expect them to do a good job. The cleaning in the kitchen was fabulous, it was the older woman who did the kitchen. But, everything else that the younger people did was not good at all. I have to asked them to go back and clean the doors. The ceiling fans were not cleaned, they are horrible. They were not going to clean the baseboards, which was part of the deep cleaning agreement."

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
