"Drywall and Paint LLC Snohomish just completed the removal of popcorn ceilings and interior painting of my 1979 home. Out of the three bids I got, his was the middle bid. I chose this company as David Morales and his team impressed me as being trustworthy. I am so glad I did! They communicated the exact hours of work, and were true to their word. Part of the project was to remove and drywall over a doorway. David added two studs and patched it up! There is no evidence of the doorway. He also filled various holes throughout my house where there use to be outlets. It is wonderful to have this project completed so professionally. I highly recommend this company to others!"

"It went pretty well. Ron came out and provided me a fair estimate. We hired him. Ron and his guy were professional and responsible! They got the job done well. The ceiling is looking good and the texture is matching my old ceiling. They also installed a new ceiling fan for me, which could have cost me a nightmare. I would definitely hire him again."

"Yazmin was awesome, super friendly, always early and charged a fair price. I gave 3 stars because each cleaning something was missed, which I brought to her attention. She would make sure to do it the next cleaning, but then something else was missed. Seems like the cleanings were always rushed. I don't think I am being too anal, but I shouldn't have to go back and clean things after I just paid to have it done. Such as, crumbs still on kitchen counters and nothing was moved or cleaned under, bedroom not dusted very well, and food/dirt still on floor. Paid for a separate cleaning for the blinds/baseboards/windowsills, but the blinds didn't get finished. Yazmin said she would go back over them the next 2 cleanings, but they were never finished. Have half dusted blinds now."

Customers say: Quality work

"Dean at Eastside prepared a very detailed bid and was able to start just a few days after signing the contract. His crew did a great job and we are delighted with the ceilings. A small problem (hooks that were supposed to be removed were carefully left in place) was corrected with no fuss. The workers cleaned up outside every evening so our neighbors would not be inconvenienced. Communication while work was going on was not great, but that seems to be a constant with every contractor. We want daily updates, they only update us when we send email or text or call. I would happily use them again for our next remodeling project."

FAQs for acoustic ceiling tiles install projects in Edmonds, WA

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.

Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.

Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.

Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
