On Monday, a professional crew of four, led by a foreman, arrived promptly at 7:00 AM and got straight to work. They were not only highly skilled but also incredibly polite, keeping the work area immaculate during the demolition. By the second day, the team had seamlessly removed the remaining 2x4s, installed a robust lintel beam, and perfectly matched the drywall and trim to the rest of the house. We also had an outdated picket wall around the basement stairs. Isai recommended modernizing it with a sleek 3-foot wall, and it was completed within the three-day timeframe. Thrilled with their exceptional work, we discussed adding a dream screen porch and deck. The estimate was too good to pass up, so we went ahead. The results were nothing short of spectacular. The screen porch was beautifully integrated with the roof joists, and the deck, built on sturdy 6x6 posts and attached to the house, was a masterpiece. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. "They go beyond the basics and clean everything (toilets, tubs, sinks, carpet, dusting all surfaces, etc. etc.). They even happily will clean the deck furniture if we ask them.
We have a bi-weekly schedule with them and they are always prompt and curious and friendly. On rare occasions they have had to change the regular schedule but they have always  given notice and worked with us to find an alternative date. When we have to cancel due to vacations, there is never any push back or concern; just a question on when they can come next.
