The stair-oiling and window-cleaning were extras and although she included them in the original price, by the time she completed the work, I felt that she'd under-estimated. I offered to pay a little more and she accepted graciously. I appreciated that she did not ask for it herself, though she certainly was entitled to!
Sarah comes across as very friendly, fair, and no-nonsense. She had a younger helper with her who was not as good as she was but did not mind at all when I pointed out a couple of things she'd missed. Both said afterwards that they appreciate hearing directly what the customer wants instead of late,r via unkind reviews or no repeat business. I had called her just before having lots of out of town company and she went out of her way to accommodate me on short notice.
I will DEFINITELY use her again and referred her to a neighbor as well. My only suggestion for my neighbor was that if she gets her windows done, too, to ask for a more professional job with squeegees, windex, etc. to really get them clean. I only asked for a general cleaning and that's what I got (so this is by no means a complaint!). I didn't ask for more because it was so short notice and she had not been able to bring her brother with her, in which case I understand she's sometimes able to do more than the normal housecleaning chores.
