"I had water damage from a leak in my roof and it ended up damaging part of my bathroom ceiling. My parents have used Speedy Patch for a similar drywall repair and they recommended them for us. While it took several tries to have an estimate done due to rescheduling by Speedy Patch the estimate seemed like a good price and I set up the repair for a week and a half later. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication on the date of the repair, but they were able to come out the next day. I think he did a wonderful job repairing the ceiling. It blends very well with the popcorn ceiling and you can't really tell that we had work done. Overall they did a great job and I would recommend them."

"Very smooth install. Ed was nice, personable, and timely. He installed the solar lights efficiently and correctly. And they function perfectly. Fee was very reasonable as well. He’s agreed to install similar lights next weekend at our daughter’s home located about 10 minutes away. We’re in the market for a new handyman, so would not hesitate to contact Ed again. Thank you."

Customers say: Quality work
"I had a smooth and professional experience with Holy Roller Painting. I had several contractors say they would replace/repair my bathroom floor but none ever showed up. This went on for a couple of months. I saw this company advertised on HomeAdvisor, called them one day, and they were here the next day. The crew was professional and knowledgeable and did an outstanding job for a fair price. They had time left before Jim Cole, the mgr. returned to do a final inspection.. In that time they repaired my front screen door for no extra charge. If you are looking for reliability and professionally completed work, you could do no better than to hire this company. I will hire them again if needed and highly recommend them."

"There were numerous communication issues before the visit and then on the visit itself there were a number of problems.
The biggest problem is terrible communication. I initially emailed them to set up the pre-visit and no one got back to me. I had to email them multiple times. They also initially promised me that the date I wanted (which was more than a month away at the time) was fine. On the day of the pre-visit, the person who arrived didn't know about that date and said they would try to make it work. He called me a few days later and said it was okay and they would be there at 9. Then the day before he called and said that they would be there at 12. However, the cleaners did not arrive until 2:30 and there were only 2 of them. They were not informed of what it was they were there to do, and in fact thought that they were only supposed to clean one story.
There were also multiple problems with the cleaning itself. They did a good job in the upstairs and the bathroom, although the display on an LCD screen weather station device in the bathroom was damaged. Only the kitchen was mopped on the first floor. The dining and living room weren't mopped.
Then they also damaged our kitchen sink. The sink didn't work properly Immediately after the visit, the water flow was not the normal high pressure, and after a few minutes of trying to figure it out, water would no longer come out of the faucet at all and would only come out of the sprayer. We had to replace the sink faucet which cost us over $100.
And finally, no one apologized or attempted to make the situation better. They were there until 7:30PM and I had to sit outside with my dog. I had taken her to a sitter to keep her out of the house but I had to pick her up at 6:30 and they were not even close to done. The owner was helping clean at the end, and even told my husband to give them a call when we wanted another cleaning. Nobody acknowledged or apologized for how badly things had gone. We also did not receive the service time that was stated on the Big Deal (about 12 hours instead of 18) and we had to pay to fix our sink after they broke it. The cleaning itself was ok except for the parts they missed but I was really angry about the communication problems and would never use them again. I do not think I could count on them to save the date I asked for or show up on time. They are really disorganized.

Detail oriented, reliable company who takes pride in servicing its clients. We do the job right the first time.
Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
