"Gary was very responsive in scheduling the work for a kitchen install under short notice. He and his team were very courteous and punctual, doing an excellent job in pointing out challenges in the design layout and suggested resolutions. He also lined up additional contractors that were needed for flooring and plumbing. Would definitely recommend and plan to contact him again for future projects."

"Went great. Very professional! I had moisture spots in my kitchen ceiling and bedroom walls. He came in and replaced the drywall, and even painted the kitchen ceiling to match. No mess and they cleaned everything up. Great company. Would hire again."

"Drywall Complete Services built 2 walls to create an additional room in my home. It was Complete service including paint matching to all other walls in the home. The quality of the build was second to none. The added walls were done so well, it looks like they were always there. The project took a little over a week. The team cleaned up every single day which I very much appreciated. They worked to make sure the work was done with as little disruption as possible. They went above and beyond by permanently fixing a long term issue I was having with a tape joint on the ceiling. I highly recommend Drywall Complete Services for all your drywall needs. I will be hiring them again this year for additional work in my garage."

"We initially hired Bob to help us get our nursery in order. We needed someone to remove the old crown molding and baseboard in the room, paint the room and install new closet doors for us. Bob did a great job on the project. He was prompt when it came time to provide the quote and worked quickly to get us scheduled. The work he did in the room was excellent. He was able to provide suggestions about what closet doors would work best and what kind of trim would be required around them. He graciously agreed to help pick up materials, as we had no easy way to transport such long pieces of trim. We asked him to use a dark wall color for the room, and the care he used in painting with this color was appreciated. We needed to ask Bob to delay installing the baseboards until the floor could be refinished; he graciously came back a few weeks later to finish the job, without charging any additional fee.
Because Bob did such a great job for us, we also had him come back a few weeks after installing the baseboards to help us fix a drywall patch in our hallway ceiling. Initially Bob had told me he wasn't sure if he'd be able to get it to look seamless with the rest of the ceiling, but he was able to work his magic and you can't even tell that the patch is there. We were very impressed with the result he was able to provide us, and of course his painting job on the ceiling after patching it was excellent.
We'd highly recommend Bob and his services, and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again in the future. He was a pleasure to work with, and we felt comfortable leaving him in our home to complete the projects while we were at work. We appreciated his attention to detail and his efforts to clean up after himself when the job was completed. He brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to projects, that will serve his customers well!

Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
