The finished ceiling looks perfect! The first paint he bought wasn’t a perfect match so he took a ceiling piece to get paint that was a perfect match. His work was so meticulous and his personality so kind, I decided to hire him for a big project i’ve needed to have done but couldn’t find the perfect person. Our house is 100 years old so finding the right person to do plaster work and painting is a valuable find."

"Devin Nasvaderani of Marvel Homes rebuilt my small bathroom
from subfloor to ceiling.  Water had
leaked down through the subfloor into the dining room downstairs, so the entire
bathroom had to be rebuilt.  I took
several months to talk to a number of contractors, and I am very glad I got
Devin.  Devin listened carefully to what
I wanted, making suggestions as requested but never trying to ?upsell? me.  As an old budget officer, I was determined to
make sure there were no surprises at the end, but not only was the work
completed on time and on budget, but the extra items I ended up asking for were
delivered at less than I had expected, and were done with the same excellent
quality as the scope work.  In some
cases, Devin advised me strongly that some work the other contractors said
would ?probably? be needed, was not needed.  His ?allowances? for tile and plumbing were
the only realistic such estimates I got from any contractor, and he passed on
his contractor discount to me at the tile and plumbing shops, allowing me to
build a very nice, quality bathroom at less than the originally estimated price
point.
The work quality was excellent, and his crew were
professional, polite, clean and non disruptive. 
He managed to gain me several more inches inside the shower, put
insulation against the outside wall that the original home builder had not
bothered with, and generally fixed up all the weak points of the original
bathroom.  The bathroom, although small,
is the ?master bathroom? so the crew had to go through my bedroom to access it.  Each morning, they covered everything in my
room with plastic, put tarps from the front door to the bathroom, and every
evening removed everything and vacuumed, leaving my room absolutely clean each
night.  They were even fairly quiet,
considering the nature of the work. (the hammering etc sounded ?precise? and
methodical to my untrained ear, never just banging away.)  So, my highest recommendations for this work.

"We chose VKB mainly on its reviews on this website. Overall the experience was very positive. We were pleased to learn that VBK did not charge a fee upfront to design the kitchen. Calvin (kitchen designer) made excellent suggestions to improve our original vision and was responsive to changes to the design. Calvin convinced us to choose wood floor and crown molding, and the type of range hood, and he was right on all counts! Because of the smooth design process with Calvin and reasonable price, we decided to sign on with VBK over other companies. The implementation phase had some bumps: the design drawings that Jason (project manager) and Ismar (crew leader) started with were not the updated version, but thankfully that was quickly rectified. In addition there were some misunderstanding on the scope of the painting area, but Calvin agreed to honor what we had discussed verbally, even though it was not spelled out in the contract. Jason listened and patiently explained the project process, and kept asking to make sure that we were happy with the progress. For example, he agreed to redo the placement of the undercabinet lights. He also accommodated our desire to donate our old cabinets to Habitat for Humanity, and Ismar and his crew carefully took the down the cabinets and stored them in our garage for pickup later in the week. Ismar, Luis, and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job installing and painting everything, and their experience showed in disguising the fact that our walls were not straight and the floor was not even. We were also impressed with the laser tools that they used to guide cabinet and light placements. The crew was careful, meticulous, and respectful, and they cleaned up throughly every day. There were other crews handling the flooring and countertops, who also did top notch work, and all were coordinated like clockwork by Jason. Along the way, we learned some lessons and offer the following advice: if you are particular about the placement of your celling lights, electrical outlets and switches, let the crew know, and they will do their best to accommodate. Also, pay attention to every single detail in the contract; if not specified, there can be a misunderstanding, and a deviation may require a change order and extra expense. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the excellent quality of the work, and even though there was a delay in the backsplash order, the job finished as projected. We definitely recommend VKB, and we love our new kitchen. Jason -- we are happy!"

They did a great job. We were told it would take 3 weeks to complete the project from the time the cabinets are received and they were right on target. They were professional, responsive, clean and timely. Jeff provided us with options but never pushed his ideas on us. He iis very knowledgeable and had great ideas. They produced a quality product and we could not be happier with our new kitchen. I would highly recommend WaterStone for your kitchen project and I will be using them again for my bathroom renovations.

"Diaz and his crew recently completed a job for our home. It started off with a basement renovation. They installed several sections of missing drywall and reinstalled a set of windows (that were installed incorrectly by a previous contractor). Then they painted our basement, installed new recessed ceiling lighting, placed new moldings and installed flooring with vinyl plank After the basement was completed they completely redid our kitchen and main living area They installed new cabinets and countertops. They redid all of our upstairs lighting. They removed old nonfunctional heaters and redid the floor moldings. They installed a new tile backsplash for our kitchen. Finally they painted and installed new flooring. I can’t say enough great things about this contractor. I found that he and his work crew are extremely proficient and did excellent work. They had incredible attention to detail. The painting, flooring, lighting, and every single thing was absolutely completed to perfection. The team cleaned up thoroughly every single day, and took great pains to minimize the impact of their work on the rest of the house (by placing tarps, drapes, and plastic doorway partitions). I was very happy that a single contractor was able to do all these various different things and still do them so well. Diaz did have specific companies that he worked with to make the cabinets and countertop but we were very happy with the options that he provided. He even helped us set up a visit in person to look at countertops before we made a final decision. Diaz was honest and upfront, and was extremely reliable. He made multiple suggestions throughout the process to improve the renovation and the function of our home, and I really trusted his input. Diaz is highly skilled as a designer as well as a contractor. Diaz stuck to his estimate. As expected with a project like this, extra things did come up along the way that lead to additional cost. But Diaz was upfront with those additional costs, and they all seemed extremely reasonable. If there was any negative it was that Diaz and his crew were always extremely busy. As a result, communication sometimes took a while, and the renovations took a little time (since they were clearly juggling multiple projects at once). However, I do feel that overall Diaz his crew did the job in a timely manner Most importantly, we were extremely happy with the end result. We feel like we’re living in a new house and cannot recommend Diaz highly enough. If you’re looking for a crew that has great attention to detail, a high level of versatility across various contract jobs, and that is extremely trustworthy and reliable, then Diaz and your crew is the right choice. We will definitely use them again the next time something needs to be done at our home."

"The work went very well. It took longer than I expected, but that is because Mr. Leal and his crew do such meticulous work. My space had been bothering me for quite awhile with those unsightly nail pops. They are gone, and the ceiling looks amazing. The price was fair for the amount of work done, which included an unexpected light switch repair. Mr. Leal also did me a great favor, doing a quick fix to a longstanding problem with the freezer door on my French door refrigerator. Mr. Leal and his entire crew were very pleasant to work with: they left the site cleaner than it was before their arrival! I will definitely hire again and again for my many projects that need to be done around the house."

"It is with pleasure that I write a review of Arm's Home Improvement (AHI). If there were a scale of 1 to 10, AHI would register as an 11. To describe my experience with AHI, I need to emphasize how AHI became a real life-saver for me. Specifically, I had been working with another reputable contractor for approximately 3 months, without reaching an acceptable contract. Previously, I had been advised by a window installation company that there were some issues with the triangular wood at the apex of my 3 dormers. In that regard, I had recently noticed 2 small watermarks on my bedroom ceiling. However, after a torrential downpour these small water marks had extended to approximately 4' by 6'. I realized that I had to find another contractor who could: identify problems, recommend corrective measures, & be available ASAP. AHI was the answer to all of the aforementioned issues. Allen Metcalf, the owner, immediately responded to my request. Allen is replete with both knowledge & experience, as well as having a highly organized & detail-oriented modus operandi. After meeting with Allen, he developed a contract which delineated all costs, as well as times for completion. I was quite impressed by not only the details of the contract, but also by the alacrity in which the contract proposal was developed, & therefore, ready for implementation. Allen coordinated delivery of materials & subs with the fluidity of a choreographer for a Broadway performance. Allen's staff of Jeff & Dustin were diligent in their efforts, particularly when they were working in freezing temperatures & high winds ON MY ROOF! Jeff was the lead & had a propensity for identifying rot, which was plentiful in my project. Both Jeff & Dustin were dedicated & perfectionists in their work ethics. This was indeed, impressive! Recommendations were made to replace ducts & add insulation in my attic since time had taken its toll on the original materials. Allen expeditiously developed a supplemental contract to address these issues, for which I concurred. As a result, I now enjoy new air ducts & flame-retardant insulation. In summation, AHI did not do a good job & they did not do an ,excellent job: they did an outstanding job!"
