Small jobs welcome
"Seemed reluctant to take such a small job as ours at first. They eventually got us into their schedule and I have to say the wait was worth it. Top notch work and they cleaned up after themselves. Except for the new concrete you wouldn't know they had been here."

"Saul did amazing jobs with the affordable price. His work was so detailed and his professional experience must be appreciated. My wife was so happy with his well done job in a timely manner. We highly recommend Saul and Company that we can trust on their work such as dlepoxy flooring for our entrance hallway, the patio, and the garage and the outcomes were extremely beautiful. Thank you very much!"

"It went very well with excellent communication throughout. I was very pleased with the finished fences. It was a challenging project done on uneven ground and a sloped area."

"I had some very specific requirements for my 12'x23'x11' awning. I also had to postpone the project 2 months. But, Lucio and crew built the awning to my requirements exactly. As soon as material was available, they were out on the job and finished in a day. It even rained a little on them, but they got it done. Will be giving them a call when I'm ready to do the next awning."

"The demolition work started just before the heavy rains started in May 2015. It rained pretty solid for 3 weeks which rendered the work almost impossible without creating a mud pit. We agreed to stop work until the rains stopped and the site dried up. Once the project was re-started in July, the work proceeded in a normal sequence. We were not in a great hurry. We cared more about having a good quality driveway and that's what we got in the end.

"Overall happy with the project. Didn't like the masonry work, as spaces between border rocks was different sizes & too large. Price was a bit high but they are reliable. Showed up as scheduled & finished the job on time."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
