"We highly recommend US Waterproofing. Unfortunately, after repeated issues (we’ve had water getting through a basement door, water backing up from drain/sewer pipe, foundation cracks – all which were addressed) we now have had issues with hydrostatic water pressure delivering a great deal of water to our finished basement. Only one solution – drain tiles and sump pump installation. US Waterproofing was outstanding, every step of the way. They communicated clearly what was needed, and much to our surprise, what was not. They did not ever try to sell us anything that was not needed – only what was – installation of drain tile, window well drains, sump pump, and all work related. All of the crews involved were outstanding – in particular, the crews installing the drain tile and sump pump. The supervisor clearly and concisely explained every step – and when issues arose, they were dealt with promptly. The teams removing drywall and reinstalling also did very good work, and were very responsive. Everything was done correctly, and on schedule The work is now complete – and the basement is back to normal. I commend USW on all facets – they explained everything, did not try to oversell anything, and were responsive to issues as they arose. "I know of no other contractor who has total customer satisfaction as his top priority like Mr. Flanagan does. He is absolutely the best.
My basement sustained ankle-deep water as the result of an outdoor basement stairwell drain that violently backed up because its circa-1951 drain line led to the street storm sewer (by design). That sewer was overcome with water during a storm in the summer of 2010 that featured a tornado in my western-suburbs area. Soon after pumping the water out of my basement with a mobile pump, the mess prompted me to (once again*) call Mr. Flanagan (*His crawlspace crew had done a beautiful job finishing my dirt-floor crawlspace with a concrete floor and wall insulation a couple of years earlier).
After the basement waterproofing project described in this review was complete, however, I was disappointed with the workmanship: The concrete work looked less-than-professional (out-of-flush with sump flange and the stairwell drain, plus way too many swirl marks and splattering) in the stairwell and basement's appearance areas. In short, it just didn't look like his business's flawless concrete job that was done in my crawlspace just years earlier.
Mr. Flanagan agreed. With no questions asked, he immediately had a different crew come to my home, tear out all of the previously laid concrete and drain lines and replace it with the workmanship that he would expect his crews to use in their own homes. The re-do of the project at least had met my high expectations for its cosmetics. And, of course, I hoped it was a sufficient waterproofing solution for my basement.
Fast forward just a few short years. Affter having perhaps sustaining that 100-year event with the Chicago-area rain storm of April 17-18, 2012, while my neighbors are pumping water out of their basements, mine remains bone dry. Thank you Mr. Flanagan and Crawlspace / Basement Waterproofing Solutions for a job (design and installation) well done. Your basement waterproofing solution indeed deserves an A+.

"I contacted Patrick in mid-November to give me an estimate on a problem that I was having in my townhouse in the south loop.  I had a contractor (I gotta guy services) renovate my bathroom in the spring and since then had problems with a leaking shower head and reversal of the hot/cold controls on the shower faucet.  Patrick came over to give me an estimate to fix the problem.  Patrick was very thorough in looking for the cause of the problem and spent a better part of a morning driving around looking for parts in the hopes that he could remedy the problem without knocking down tile.  Unfortunately, my previous contractor screwed me over and did a poor job.  As a result, Patrick had to knock down the tile to correct the piping issues.  He came back 2 days later with his wife to do the job.  They corrected the problem and cleaned up well afterwards.  Patrick was very professional in his interaction and was able to do the work very quickly.  I also felt that Patrick's pricing was more than fair considering all the work/driving around he had to do.  I would highly recommend McDonagh and sons to anyone who needs plumbing work.  They will get to the job quickly, do good work, and have fair pricing."

"Agape is a family owned business, the owner, Mike brought his wife by to work and his son came by with the wife once as well. He is very friendly and professional. In addition to digging out the are and pouring the cement, Mike, and his wife pulled all the weeds from my patio. This was not in the contract, I did not ask him to do it, itas just something that he saw that needed to get done and he did it. Mike got the job by answering his phone on a Saturday, and coming by to measure on a Sunday. All the other construction guys in the area, were not available on the weekend. I plan to use Agape for future projects. I may want to build a privacy fence on one side of the hottub, I have the area blocked from sight now, but It would look nicer and have access to my neighbor if I tore down the cyclone fnce and put up a privacy femce. When I am ready to do that work, Mike is the first one that I will call.
Since the project was completed by Agape Construction, I have now had a hotub sitting on the cement slab filled with water. It is a medium to large tub and weighs over 2 tons when filled with water and people. I have seen no signs of cracking, seeping, or anything wrong at all. I am very happy with my hottub!! ?"
