"I highly recommend P&M Paving! They went above and beyond on our wrap around driveway. Our driveway was cracked and crumbling, and they cleaned it, treated the weeds, then fully re-paved it. We had a big sunk spot that they completely fixed, which was a complete surprise. I didnâ t think it was fixable and didnâ t ask them to do anything extra on that spot. My jaw literally dropped when I saw it, I am so so excited about that. Also, we live on a hill, and they built a little lip/curb to direct the water away from our garage, which was another great surprise they had for me when I got to see their work. They didnâ t charge me any extra for these added features, and the work they did was beautiful. I never thought I could look at pavement and think itâ s beautiful, but I really do think my driveway is now beautiful! Iâ m so pleased and thankful for their excellent work, and I couldnâ t recommend them more."

"Would definitely recommend Baker's Waterproofing. Bryce was very informative while giving me an estimate on what I would need. The crew of Victor Cruz, Deontae, & Miguel did an awesome job. They completed in 1 day and cleaned everything up. All the representatives of Bakers Waterproofing were very respectful and easy to work with. Thank u all!!!"

"Brandon and his team showed up day to start the work a few days before I asked them to begin which was a plus because our concrete church ramp needed repaired soon for safety reasons. The work was completed with professionalism and did not interfere with our church services. Brandon was also easy to contact and returned calls and text messages in a timely manner"

"Kevin not only has design chops, but has the experience to suggest alternatives to help you with your budget. The result from our project has been beautiful stone steps, cobblestone driveway, stone entry wall, and stone retaining walls. In our case, it was important to re-use as much stone that was already on site to keep the look integrated. He was more than willing to do that and the results were a dramatic enhancement to our property."

"Excellent work at a fair price. Punctual and professional. Respectful of property and requests. Most people will stop reading at this point, but I suggest you continue for a brief example of how qenuine Ryan is. While he was here doing the job, I was helping an elderly neighbor remove a fallen tree from their yard when the tire on my pull behind lawn cart blew. Not only did Ryan offer to help me fix the cart but he helped me unload and stack the wood free of charge and still finished the job on schedule. A true stand up young man."

"Owner showed up with a small crew and a crazy new piece of equipment. Excavated down below my foundation and to the septic tank. Came into the basement and jackhammered the floor. Removed all the old terracotta pipe inside and out. Installed all new PVC pipe all the way down to the septic tank. Put gravel down to protect the new pipe. Poured concrete in the basement to close the floor back up. Only took one day to get the new pipe in. Came back the next to close the ground and floor up. Great experience, basement no longer smell like sewage."

"Fantastic job all around. Had a new concrete floor installed, foundation footers poured to repair garage foundation and had my covered porch enclosed by Neel Outdoor works. Great communication, prompt, clean work site, wonderful crew, quality work, I can't say enough good things. Travis is my go to for all future projects."

"Nick was up front, honest, friendly and the work turned out great. No mess left behind and fully functional with great materials used."
Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
