"Repair team was very professional and it was clear they knew what they were doing. I asked the team leader how he knew when to stop injecting the poly substance under the walkway and his answer was a simple "experience" and "patience" He proved that when all the sunken concrete rose to exactly the right height! You cannot go wrong with this company. Costs are a little high, I think, and it would cost somewhat less to replace the concrete, but it probably wouldn't match the existing slabs."

"Ed and his crew were fantastic to work with. I called for an estimate and he called me back the next day and came out to give an estimate. he arrived on time and was extremely friendly. I showed him my issues and he gave me a fair estimate. He was actually significantly cheaper than some other estimates I had received. Due to his outstanding Angie's list rating and the great estimate I asked them when they could do the work. They came out two days later, arrived when they said they would. They got straight to work and completed the work in less time than I expected. Ed took his time explaining what had caused my problems and what they did to fix the issue. His work comes with a 5 year transferable warranty.
I was extremely pleased with the price and the work performed. I was equally impressed with Ed himself. It was nice to find an honest, trustworthy and competent businessman to perform the work I needed done. I would recommened E-Tex Foundation Repair to anyone.
Thank you Ed and crew for a job well done.

"I am extremely picky about the quality of work. I could not have been more pleased. Abraham has an extensive understanding of his work and strives to provide great workmanship. He was reasonable and a good communicator. If you are having concrete work done he would be an excellent choice."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
