"The project was to raise a slab of concrete in my driveway. They completed the project exactly as promised and on time. They cleaned up everything leaving no mess. Before leaving they explained the warranty and how long before we could drive on the driveway. They did excellent work and was very professional."

"It was amazing to watch them work. They did my driveway in a day!! Removed the old and put in the new. Excellent work and what impressed me most is when they had the concrete drive rework the mix as it was not right. I have work concrete and they did everything right!!! Easy to deal with, on time and very respectful of my neighbors, my yard and me. Would hire them again."

"James and his crew, Chris and d Dustin did very high quality work. They build a patio with pavers that included a level square for a hot tub. When the hot tub was installed, the installers stated it was the best, most level hot tub pad they had seen. I love the pavers they installed, I love the stone pillars they built around the pergola we added. They built a beautiful space. They always showed up when expected, they kept me informed throughout the entire project and they were super kind and respectful. If I had any issues, they addressed them. I highly recommend this company. I have already used them again to frame an area around the patio for a flower garden. That project is also done and beautiful. James knows his business and made great suggestions that enhanced my initial vision for the project! Again, I highly recommend this company!"

"Brad Broockerd did an excellent job of evaluating my needs for repairing my foundation and floor issues. • Scheduled promptly. • Showed up on time. • Called before arriving. • Excellent laser technology for measuring problems with leaning walls. • No guess work. • Detailed estimate with easy to understand drawing. • No charge for the estimate. I have had water leak problems for years with this house. Also mystery noises and cracks in walls. Doors and windows that work one day and not the next. I have made several extensive repairs myself for 25 years ago. So I understand thoroughly what is involved. Only recently did I realize the East wall was leaning in. Thank You For Your Expertise. "Removed old concrete with very little damage to surrounding lawn and landscape. Made a new bed with compacted gravel. The finish work gets comments from everyone who walks by. Very proud of my new concrete."

"5 Stars!! We interviewed several companies and chose Pro Polyjacking. Steve W. inspected all of our driveway, sidewalk, and back patio. He discovered several voids and spots that needed filled with his sonar equipment. We appreciate him taking the extra step to inspect everything. They came out and leveled the driveway and filled several voids due to erosion over time. Thank you for the great professional service and great price point as well! Thank you again and we will refer you to friends and family for sure!!"

"IT was good but had do some over."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
