"I had some concrete work done by Indianapolis Concrete 5363 W. 86th St. Indianapolis, IN 46268. Hank and his crew did an excellent job. The pad and sidewalk came out perfect and they cleaned everything up when they were done. Before I started, I checked around with other companies and Indianapolis Concrete prices was competitive and felt very confident when Hank came out and gave me a quote. I highly recommend them."

Customers say: Quality work
"Replace over 2000 sq. ft. of driveway area We were impressed with the quality of Croshier Concrete’s management and operations on our driveway project. It was evident from the first meeting that Van Croshier was a concrete professional. He and his crews were on schedule, on budget and communicated often to keep us informed. Croshier solved our significant water pooling problem by carefully sloping the driveway and installing two drains underneath. The crews cleaned up daily and thoroughly at the end of the project. The cost was very reasonable, and we enjoyed the personal attention from a family-owned company. Our finished driveway-with extra detailing around the edge-is as beautiful as concrete can be. Highly recommend"

"Clay and his guys have done several jobs for us and we were very happy. Replaced our front walkway, landscaped area in backyard, added drainage area with decorative rocks, and repaired rock free standing wall. Their work is top notch and we have referred them to several neighbors."

"Colin and his crew do great work at a reasonable price. They are timely and professional. We have used them since they started their businaess and are very pleased with their services.
In addition to the yearly work on our landscaping, in the past they have removed and replaced some plantings and worked on our 2 ponds rock surrounds and installed an overflow underground drain from them to the adjacent woods, then seeded the earth used to cover the drain tile.

"We want to thank Justin Gardner of Indiana Foundation Service. Our large back room had a huge crack in it and the floor was badly uneven. Justin inspected the problem inside and out, took a lot of time to explain it to us very clearly, and even showed us videos of how Indiana Foundation Service uses push piers to lift the foundation, and once it is in place, pulls the inside floor up to level. I can't say enough about Justin, who was the very definition of professionalism. He explained the problem and the process for fixing it so clearly that my wife and I both understood it. He gave us an incredibly fair estimate of the cost--to our relief--and scheduled an appointment. I can't begin to tell you how grateful we are to Justin. A total professional and a truly nice and decent man."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
