"This was a small landscaping job for placing ribbon/ synthetic grass between concrete that was already poured. The team was fast, friendly professional, and gave a great price. They did an amazing job! I highly recommend for any of your landscaping needs."

"Robert and his crew did a great job installing a concrete walk in my side yard. They had some challenges working around our existing irrigation valves and pipes, but they took the extra time to do it right. After installing the concrete Robert found an area which was not draining fully and he put in extra time and effort to fix the problem area. Robert communicated with us during the project and was very professional. I would recommend Robert Garcia Concrete!"

Customers say: True professional

"First class work, from site prep to final detailing. My only complaint was the guys cleaning off their tools on my lawn. I had to pick a bunch of concrete scraps from the lawn. Otherwise, great, speedy job."

Customers say: Quality work

"We hired Whieldon Cement Works to install a new driveway for boat/RV storage earlier this spring. Matt was easy to work with and cooperative. The final finish came out looking even and uniform. When the work was being completed, Matt and his team discovered a clogged and collapsed underground rain gutter drain lateral and replaced it no charge. His price was reasonable. His team was clean and the job was done quickly. We have had a number of friends ask for his referral and we are happy to give it. May have him do some work on the rest of our driveway in the future."

"I’ve used Robert and George for several of my construction projects in Newport Beach, and they have consistently delivered top-notch work. They show up on time, work quickly and efficiently, and their pricing is always fair. What really sets them apart is their willingness to go above and beyond…whether it’s accommodating schedule changes, jumping in to solve unexpected site issues, or making sure the final product looks perfect. It’s rare to find a concrete crew that combines quality, speed, and true professionalism the way they do. I trust them with my projects and will continue to use them in the future. Highly recommend!"

FAQs for concrete work projects in Villa Park, CA

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
