"I really appreciated ALL the hard work and effort that Designer Concrete displayed on my home project; my husband and I were indecisive about what style we wanted, but Romel was so awesome with assisting us with the Best choice. We absolutely LOVE our stamped driveway and get so many compliments on our upgrade. We recommend anyone getting concrete work to get it done RIGHT with Designer Concrete."

"Mark, the company owner, provided design details for the project which filled out and improved on our original general ideas. The site was prepared and concrete poured in a single day, 17 days after we agreed on the bid. Form removal, washing, sealing, and cleanup were completed within the next week. Mark was personally on site working and supervising at all times through the entire project. He was professional and personable and was committed to providing results that would meet our approval. Mark's bid was lower than the other two bids we had, but based on our initial meeting with him and favorable company reviews, we would gone with him even if it had been a bit higher. We highly recommend him."

"John John Concrete did a fantastic job, was responsive, from first quote to completion of project was about 2 weeks. They were incredibly fast. Price was so much better than any quotes I got from other contractors, I didn’t even have to negotiate. Will be using them again on our next concrete project. Highly recommend."

"STA-Built did an awesome job installer concrete pavers in an area where we put our garbage cans. They were right on time - finished my project in 1 day. The follow-up with Leland (who came out to give the quote in the first place) was there on the day of install and stopped by to follow up that day after they had finished the work. I honestly can't think of one thing that would lower the rating of 5 stars."

"We had our patio done since it was sinking. It came out beautiful but after a day it sunk about a 1/4 inch. They gave us a updated warranty for a year that if it sinks more than an inch they will come out and fix it. The quote came back less than their competitor."

FAQs for concrete work projects in Snoqualmie, WA

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
