I chose to redo the flooring with redwood planks to avoid retaining moisture. Support joists were insulated with waterproofing tape and railing posts were raised on metal brackets, as some post bases were rotting. The planks were painted with a non-slip texture and the railings to match color. They also fixed a rotting section of roof above the deck. Overall they finished in reasonable time and cost."
