In spite of being called, just before hurricane season, an initial visit and estimate was done within a few days of calling, exact measurements were taken 15 days later, and the completed shutter was installed 21 days later. Everyone was very skilled in what they were assigned to do, and the final product looks and works beautifully. The cost was a fraction of what I would have paid to replace all of the porch windows, around my porch, with hurricane-strength windows."

"I bought DSI's " Big Deal" over the weekend and got a call Monday morning from their Office Manager, Kristy, to schedule the appointment. Kristy is super friendly and very professional, and not only did she call right away, but I was able to capitalize on an opening to have the work done the very next day - which was perfect. The day of the job I got another call from Kristy with an update on their electrician's status, Matt, who was on time for the 1:00 appointment. He was very patient with my himing and hawing about where the light cans should go and provided his professional (and extremely valuable) thoughts on it. When he didn't have quite the right saw to fight through our plaster and drywall ceiling, he went out to purchase one and came right back. He took very few, short breaks, was great with our dog, and fielded a thousand questions from my 6-year old in the process without missing a beat. He cleaned up after himself as he went (the plaster made for an extremely messy job), which any home owner greatly appreciates, and (due to the challenges with the ceiling) it took him nearly 6 hours in total. He didn't complain once though despite it taking him well into the dinner hour.
The results were an extremely clean, professional installation that completely transformed our living room. Really couldn't be happier with the way it looks thanks to Matt's recommendations and hard work, and I look forward to working with Matt, Kristy, and DSI again in the future.
Thank you!UPDATE: 4/15/15 - I called Kristy back the following day to tell them how pleased I was with the lighting installation, and asked a totally unrelated building code question while I had her on the phone. Kristy recommended I send her pictures of the area in question (my back porch) and though she thought she knew the answer, she took it upon herself to research FL building code and forward me not only the answer I was after, but three different references that I could look at myself.
This level of customer service is nearly impossible to find these days and made my project and my day a whole lot easier. Thank you Kristy!
