"Contractor provided excellent consultation on the type of upgrades and improvements we wanted to make during our project. Jeff was excellent at suggesting improvements to our bathroom shower, entrance and new vanity and cabinets. He offered excellent contractors that we used for new granite countertops for kitchen and bath areas. He also met us at Floor and Decor store and assisted our selection of new bathroom tile and flooring that was used to replace our ugly old carpet in our living room, dining room and hallway areas. Contractor coordinated scheduling of tile, cabinet, plumbing and countertop installations with all sub contractors selected for our project. We are extremely happy with the results of their work!"

"Patrick, Gary and the Sun Control team took on our project which included --1 Refubishing, Painting, & Re-screening our pool cage. Great job- looks new. -2 Sun Control also installed 4 large Hurricane screens to enclose our lanai. Great product and a tricky placement which they found a way to make it work perfectly. Frank and Raul dd great work. -3 Sun Control also replaced 15 windows with storm-strength glass. Super job- the house is much more energy efficient and QUIET- no more street noise. The inspector also compliment on the job and the quality of windows. Frank & Raul were fantastic. Gary stayed in contact and was here to explain the work and solve some problems. We had to wait because of Covid restrictions but things went smoothly. Everyone was courteous, fully explained every step, prompt and cleaned-up the site. Great price, products, and people- what more could you ask?"

"Lifestyle Remodeling has been fabulous to work with from the initial appointment to the final inspections happening today. it's a substantial improvement to my home of over 35 years in Crescent Heights. Two phrases come to mind...you get what you pay for and you never regret buying the best. I doubt I will have any regrets, truly. Mistakes are bound to happen in a project this big, but what really matters is how corrections are handled. Always professional and responsive, don't hesitate to consider Lifestyles for your own project."

"Once my wife and I decided to update our kitchen, it became time to seek out a qualified contractor that suited our needs. Our search ended at Rx Renovation Xperts. After a phone conversation with Alyssa, who was a continuous help throughout the project, we met with Mike the owner and his designer Roger in our home. As it turned out, Mike previously owned a most respected construction company up north that we did business with before. We knew at that moment our search was over. Mike and Roger listened to our ideas and provided suggestions upon our request to assist us. Information was gathered and organized for a follow-up meeting to be held the next day. They provided us a detailed description of the work to be done along with a time frame for each phase of construction at a price that was fair and within budget. The responsibilities of each party were also included. During the planning stage we were provided with sources for appliances, countertops, cabinets ,lighting, sinks, faucets, and hardware. Alyssa personally took us to their wholesale suppliers so we could look at various samples of each item to choose from. She gave us ideas for coordinating colors, lighting, fixtures, hardware, and appliances which assisted us to put the entire package together. A big plus working with Rx is that all of the tradesmen used are actual employees of the company, not subs, which allows for a smooth transition from phase to phase eliminating down time. We were extremely impressed by the working relationship each employee had with each other. They all worked well together and demonstrated pride in their work by paying special attention to detail and customer satisfaction. All seemed to enjoy their job working for Rx and were cordial to each other as well as to us. We felt very comfortable having each and every one of them in our home. The entire project was completed as planned even though we requested changes which they readily accepted, many without additional cost for which we are so grateful. We feel without a doubt that it would be a difficult task for anyone to meet or exceed the outstanding job done by Rx in our home. Each day we say to each other, "I love our new kitchen" . Kudos to you all. We highly recommend Rx to anyone that could use their services."
Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
